Do you have a D/L link for your skin?

Trust me you don't want it!

I downloaded gimp... It looks pretty powerful/impressive.

Do you have your original "void" skin that has the panel lines before you added the color?  If you do I can recreate my skin better and try my best at one of those RAF camo skins you posted.  I'm still learning so others will do a better job... But I think I can knock a couple out for you!

(Simulating catapult launch) V1 Air start over the Iowa. DBW 1.71. Inner cockpit view is more stunning then V3.   (Simulating catapult launch) Altitude is 15m to avoid the gun barrels in V1.    ( sorry about power 0 in these two pics; not true in the following moments... )

V1: Kingfisher air start is 296kmh ; point 0 = 15m ; point 1 = 15m ; Iowa speed 45kmh.
Many thanks to you for the OS2U mod, and also to the creator of Iowa ! :D

V3 is a more authentic over the catapult air start set at 14m... seen here seconds after launch, cause I'm not fast enough on the keyboard!

V3: This works fine cause the plane has quite small wings !   ;D  seen here seconds after launch, cause I'm not fast enough on the keyboard!

V3 air start 296kmh ; point 0 = 14m ; ( point 1 = 14m) ; Iowa speed 45kmh.
The crane is 3D centered and the offset is to account for the ship speed moving it towards left.
Note "0" then ( when the crane 3D is in middle of your screen and viewed straight up... ) sits dead center of that grey-black winch thingy.
Point 1 is about aligned to the bow of the ship and distanced to it to make the trajectory parallel  to the catapult, with the inboard offset.

V2 failed: I tried air start behind the ship and overfly the catapult.  :(  Nah! A very very  bad idea !    :P

Hi, barret_g, would Gimp be OK to use? It's free. Thanks for the skin.

cheers

Hi, barret_g. I think Gimp is a lot like Adobe Photoshop to use. I've used that. Some of the skinning tutorials might be on Gimp. It's worth doing a search. Good luck with your skinning endeavours.
The only time I tried doing a skin, I almost ended up throwing the CPU out the window.

cheers

Superb aircraft Matt, thank you very much she looks excellent. 8)

I tested her using AI in three installs, with DBW and SAS 4.11 with ModAct all is fine. ;)

However in 4.12.1 with ModAct 5.20 I get the same problem Loku reported earlier in the thread. :'(

This effect is not unique to this aircraft as the N1K and the F1M also suffer the same.

This is a part of my log where the Kingfisher appears, hope this gives you a clue to what is happening.

Hmmm...... I can't solve the problem directly, as I don't have 4.12 installed (I have to keep my laptop copy as basic as possible).
I suspect the issue is the lineage and duplicate parts -  the N1K, upon which this and the F1M are based, retains the original landing gear from the N1K2.

My advice is, if you're confident with .him files, to start deleting excess components, and "streamlining" the files (something I neglected to do, as I thought it was unnecessary).
regards,
Matt

As a devotee of civil skins - anyone know of any for the Kingfisher?  I found one flown by Remy de Haenen - but they're all in b&w (just google his name + os2u, not sure if I can post links to the pics here). Anyone know of any others?

Barrett_g - Paint skins!  I made a lot of those back before I GIMPed - yeah it works a lot better
