Not from me, no.  I can't say I fancy adding a turret, as it'll involve more Java and FM work than i'm comfortable with.

However, I have made pains to make it as easy as possible for another modder - i've added most of the relevant structure to the rear cockpit, and animated the rear canopy realistically to allow firing. My advice would be to start with the SBD rear cockpit/coding and go from there.

Hopefully some modder with the knowledge will add the observer/rear gunner... Maybe even map the rear glass to open with the "side hatch" command so each canopy can open independently.

This airplane has so much potential!

Hopefully we'll have this plane launching from battleships, seeking out the enemy, and directing salvos from the battleships to hit enemy positions in no time!

Thanks again Mikoyan99!

Mikoyan99:
Thanks for this great aircraft and congratulations on its release.  I am on DBW 1.71 and it works perfectly.  I like the way both canopies open at once (nice touch).
I landed and took off from Pearl with no problems in QMB.

To the people asking for more... Shame on You.  Let the man have a well deserved Vodka.

Congratulations Man!  Great Mod.

The same goes for me. Matt, you've brought us all a great addition to the game. A great job by you. And damn quick about it, too. My sincerest thanks for a wonderful addition to the game. To those who tend to find sh---, ah, stuff to complain about, I say, "Do it yourself". To those who offered helpful advice; "Good on you."

Matt, I can tell from your posts that some of the bit--ing  type criticism pi--es you off. It would me, too. The vast majority of the folks on here applaud your work, and treasure it. Pay no attention to the complainers, and nitpickers. Unfortunately there are folks like that everywhere. Ignore them. You can create planes for me anytime.

I'm very appreciative of your effort on this bird, it's one of my favorites. All over the Pacific the Kingfisher performed a lot of tasks: calling fall-of-shot, reconnaissance, supply runs for coast watchers, courier duty, and air-sea rescue missions, just to mention a few.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it.  ;D

Here's my first skin!  :D I call it "the forty yard fake out."  It looks good until you get about 40 yards away from the plane... Then you realize it's a wreck!  I need to invest in some good art programs... All I've got is Microsoft Paint!  : ???

I can't wait until some real skinners get ahold of this plane!

This is the program I use for my default skin:
http://www.gimp.org/
I'm not brilliant with it, but I think it's quite powerful. My general technique is to do the camouflage scheme with one layer than overlay the markings with the next.
Do you have a D/L link for your skin?

While we're on the subject of skins, can I make an informal request for a Royal Navy or RAAF skin:

(RN)

Apparently the RAAF Kingfishers were used to test camouflage schemes over the Pacific, so there may be a few interesting combinations out there.

This is true to a large extent. I tend to ignore most of it, although I do try and provide support where practical - I find that with the internet, a lot of the meaning of messages can be lost in translation and things end up sounding ruder or more impatient than intended.

Guys, that Wolfighter Pilot will work in a lot of other planes, just change the name but you have to test to make sure it works on each Plane you want him in. :)

p.s.  Always make a Back up Copy of your Plane folder before installing.
