I must have changed my tree settings to another value.  I´ll check the map again with Forrest=3
I have been testing some IL2-1946 settings which were made from the beggining , but
never included when the game came out to the public. Interesting stuff.

These are  some of the tree types available for forrest=3:

Pretty good for such an old game like IL-2 1946.

My only problem with these is their popup distance which is too low.

It would be great if someone around here could do something about the annoying pop up distance.  >:(

Thanks to Carsmaster we do have some nice high rez trees in game.  :)
(He also worked on 4096x4096 tree objects which looked awesome. But he seem to have abandoned the project. )

I don't know what it is with flightsims but WarThunder does have its own weird tree issue when approaching them.

And not to mention BOS/BOM, their forests are like a boiling soup as someone described it appropiately.
Which can not be solved because according the team it is a limitation of their game engine.  :-X

DCS World 2.0 does not seem to suffer from it on their Nevada map.

And DCS is also way to go if you are a jet fan and can cope with supporting a sim which supports RL war machinery.
If I had a new rig, I would be tempted TBH.

Falcon BMS 4.33 also has trees without popup rendering on most missions at least, but these are real forest.

Unfortunately if you close to them down low, they look like lego trees. :D
But if you fly above 30m you won't see that.

Sorry for off topic. :P

I love P-38s and F-5s, F-16s unfortunately bore me after 10 years of flying Falcon. :P Except the Block 40..

Great shots  Alfie Noakes :)

I have always been fascinated by long sand spits that extend tens of kilometres into the Azov sea.
