You need to post your Log file so we can see the error message.

I don't have the angled deck carriers installed so I have no idea where the conflict might be but the logfile should give a clue.

The Long Hull Version uses unique class files so class conflicts are unlikely to be the problem.

The Angled Deck Carriers are only for v4.12.2 so you may well have problems trying to get them to run in v4.11 ---- Have you installed all of the other mods listed in the Angled Deck Carrier thread?

Have you posted a help request in the Angled Deck thread? --- seems more likely where your problem lies.

Oops, didn't even cross my mind to post that...it was stupid late here and I was a few beers deep haha...Here's a shot of my error log- honestly it's all Greek to me but I can't help but notice it references "bigshipgeneric" several times?




Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I just didn't even think to post something on the angled deck page since that one works like a charm now and the long hull's suddenly don't.

Thanks again, and if nothing here jumps out, I'll adjust fire and repost on the other topic.

Had this mod running great in 4.11 MA4 until I added the angled deck Essex pack...

Do you install correct version and pack of Ship Extension mod for 4.11.1m game ?

When you fail to choose the mod like choosing 4.10.1m one or 4.12.2m one , those crashing may come.

I actually haven't installed the ship extension at all. I did download the 4.11 version but just haven't gotten around to installing yet. I'll give it a go and see if that helps.

I don't know what happening on you game, but it looks like caused by Angled deck Essex.

Please uninstall and clean-up about it and related things you installed.

Its a long time ago that I made these. I think that the Long Hull classes were probably extended from the stock USSEssex classes.
Were the stock Essex classes changed for the Angle Deck version?

Ahes/Western,

I have these carriers installed and tested on TFM412, C.U.P. and B.A.T. I can confirm that there are no conflicts with the Essex angle deck carriers. The only problem that existed in the past, was that planes would not launch from the cat in later versions of engine mod 7. After installing this mod, users need to ensure these entries are included in the catapult ini

In C.U.P. the ini file is found in the !SAS engine mod folder installed in the #JTW folder (eng mod/com/maddox/il2/objects/catapults). In B.A.T. or any other 4.12 install, the catapult ini file is in STD/com/maddox//il2/objects/catapults.

I also ran a class check in B.A.T. and there do not appear to be any conflicts.

That is not a conflict.
Each catapults.ini files are samples in that release time, only their authors knew.

When a player have newer catapult carriers, he has to add those newer parameters onto old catapults.ini or merge 2 or more catapults.ini samples into one (and delete useless others).

catapults.ini file is an open format text file any players can edit in their favor.
Modders / ship builders never be wanted to follow all mod catapults newly coming and coming.

Agreed western. there are no conflicts with this mod. That's what I meant, mate, those lines just have to be added to the catapult ini file wherever it resides in your game folders.

~S~! everyone have a quick question where do I locate the Catapult.ini file; I know what I need do after that and will get my cats working could someone point me in the right direction
