Map problems
« on: September 08, 2013, 02:59:16 PM »

Hi, am using 4.09 and though the planes seem to come up ok, am having huge problems getting the maps to come up. Tried the Ashehouse BoF map but nothing doing, many of the others are fixed to UP installations. I like the feel of 4.09 for some reason, that and some..., well person, fixed the P-63 fm. Which was my fav mount bar the Spit. Wrongly in my opinion the game got it about right, it had water injection and good high level and excellent low level performance.  (Recommended highly for service by it's test pilot, but not adopted and sent to the Sov's) The 4.10 stuff is OK but there seem to be a lot of clashes, particularly surrounding the 109 E3 and T. Besides I like just adding my own maps and  pottering around with mods as I need them.
Any help with the map issues.

We need some more information other than you cant get maps to come up. Do you mean in FMB the map wont load? If so then hit shift+tab and a list will show up and at the bottom it should tell you why. Please post the list or post what the error is so we can help.

I can not help you ... Google Translator can not translate your phrases.
Can you explain your problems with the maps.
All maps are compatible with all the older packs itself.
The only problem is when there is a lack of static objects in your game
If this is the case: ... Universal static.ini checker

That was quick, is tried to load the Ash_BoF map to load into the map section of the mod folder, as well as the file on _TEX added in the text to the air file, but just crashed.  I have managed to get the Bob map up, so some things are working. But it was the Bof map I was trying to get to go.
Thanks for the attention, very prompt indeed.

...  ??? ... Alban, unless this is a typo, maps have nothing to do with the air.ini file ...!!

... then no wonder you get a crash ...

The only file where maps go is the all.ini one ...  ;)

Hi, sorry the all file, is right. It's a typo on my part, a case of dyslexia rules KO, I make errors like that quite a bit as a result.
Got a couple of maps working, the Bob map and the Nachtjager thing. Will look about and see what works. I think there might be a lot of objects etc to add to some maps. A bit rusty at putting mods into Il2.

Thanks

Hi'
Just my 10$,  Maps have allways been a source of amazement to me. After my complete re-install (1946+UP 18/20 it has become a bit better)  so my initial Install must have been faulty   ???
