RAAF as SSP nationality

Please help!

I do not have RAAF listed among available nationalities for stationary planes.

Since checking tab "Properties" of the object in FMB and scrolling list of my 4.09+UP2.01 install I see also exotic nationalities like Israel and China, I guess that could be possible to add the one I need. But, if yes, how?

China is exotic? being only the largest population in the world? lol! :D

i've always had problems with the RAAF markings, even with regular planes, since as far back as i can remember.

anyway, i think it's quite tricky, the nationality business, but i hope someone can help you out.

Thanks for encouragement, Malone. I think the culprit is a mod called "Nations And SquadronsV2" by Gaston, installed by default with UP2.01 and that I found no way to uninstall.

I thought to have got a work-around with files "country.properties" and "country_ru.properties", but they already includes RAAF and at any rate DO NOT affect air forces listed in drop-down menu under "Properties" tag inside "Object" window of FMB.

Now I've very useful countries like Managua, Yugoslavia, Philippinas and Czechoslovakia... who cares that to get them we lost RAAF?  >:(

now, a place like Managua, that's exotic, lol - especially, as you say, instead of RAAF, which played a substantial role in WW2 and beyond...
i'll defer this to one of the guys who are more in the loop with UP2.01.
although i do still have an old UP install that i sometimes use, i haven't modded it in quite some time - simply too much on my plate with the later game versions.

I do not understand.
I have UP2.01 and the country RAAF is present by default. There is not the Mod Gaston I do not see it.

I think you don't understand because you may have overlooked a few key points of my previous message; I quote myself:

In other words, if you open in FMB whatever mission, click on a plane and then on OBJECT, will appear a window. In that window there's a tag named PROPERTIES. If you click on it, you'll see also a drop-down menu listing available AIR FORCES: among these latter, I can't find RAAF. Sadly, this is the only way I know to set country for a parked plane. I think this is important because I'm finding unable to get working option UseParkedPlanes for RAAF fighters, on the contrary of other campaigns of mine where this option, for RAF and IJN worked fine.

greybeard, just thinking of a workaround here for the interim which you could try - if you create a mission with stationary planes for say, RAF, then save the mission, open the mis file with text editor, then edit the stationary planes - at the end of the string, it should say 'gb' if it's an RAF plane, perhaps changing this to 'au' might do the trick?
i haven't tried this method before, but it's worth a try?

actually, it doesn't look like that'll work, sorry.
i've had a look at some newer game versions, up to 4.11.1, and it looks as if the Forgotten Countries mod doesn't include RAAF amongst the stationary list, either, so this looks like something that has been overlooked initially, and been carried over into the newer versions.
i expect this will only be resolved if somebody decides to have another look at the Countries mod, and make those changes.
as you said, some pretty arbitrary countries are included, and the RAAF is conspicuous by its absence.
this might well be a several years old bug, being reported for the first time, lol :D

I guess you have this:

But this problem is "normal" ! Because there exist for a long time!  ;)
I can not tell you because of my ignorance of English ...
But if you analyze the files that I named above I'm sure you'll understand why it lacks RAAF / RN / USN / USMC ... and more!

I suggest you take the "regiments" file that I attached to my previous post.
Change the start by

I have not tested because I do not use my "big" computer !  :-X

I too tried editing MIS file, replacing "gb" with "ra", but it doesn't work: RAAF must be included in that list to be recognized.

Sorry, I'm unable to understand why RAAF is missing just perusing lists you provided.  :-[

I downloaded regiments.ini attached to your message and put it in ..\PaintSchemes\ directory, but no juice: list remained unchanged. I also changed its start from:

to

IN JA

still without success (RAAF again missing from list). :(
