Today was Battle of Britain day and I, among thousands of other cadets cross country, took part in parades, met veterans and talked to prospective cadets. To commemorate the event on a more international scale, I've created this small video. It's not much, just my recital of the poem High Flight, with some music and some recorded spitfire gameplay.

Ahhh, CCF for me in Kent in the 3rd or 2nd best Air cadet section in the country. We were first until one or two years ago when we lost the air sqaudron trophy

You're a sea cadet? I made my squadron's drill team this evening. I'm looking to try and make corporal by the end of next year.
Two local CCF showed up for the local parade on Sunday (I took part in two, local and wing). I'm very, very proud of my service branch.

No no air cadet, but part of the CCF! Im also looking to make corporal as well by the end of the year but unfortunately it's seeming less likely to happen as i can't do the junior cadre training as im away that week

Same, I was told not to take JNCO because I'd need YFA first, so I'm doing that instead.

Well one thing I know is that our sqaudron forgot Battle of britain day as everyone was looking outside at the spitfires flying by at folkestone over the army camp we were doing are biannual inspection at and thinking why were there spitfires and hurricanes going over every couple of hours for two days until we were reminded in aircraft recce lesson!

Well one thing I know is that our sqaudron forgot Battle of britain day as everyone was looking outside at the spitfires flying by at folkestone over the army camp we were doing are biannual inspection at and thinking why were there spitfires and hurricanes going over every couple of hours for two days until we were reminded in aircraft recce lesson!

You what. How the hell did your officers forget that?! I thought some of my squadron's staff were daft (one of our warrant officers forgot to advertise exercise Griffin, if you know what that is).

The main thing on are others minds were biannual inspection, even I forgot 
Although I think they knew, but didn't tell us, it was us who forgot and everyone looked surprised XD

PS what kind of activitys do you do in ATC when not on camp?
