Less air to air missile smoke

Request for Less air to air missile smoke, This request is for less smoke when you fire any missile I think the smoke trail is to thick , When i see videos of missile being fired there is a lot less smoke trail, My set up uses  Gurner FX 4.3

effects are generally an individual taste, for example, i'd be happy to see even more smoke, lol'
for this kind of thing, it's better that guys start to experiment with the .eff files themselves, as it's quite easy - better this, than for us to make hundreds of different variations to suit every individual's personal tastes ;)

where are .eff files located? nd how does one edit such a file?

I MIGHT try it.. as I like Steven's idea.

Most of the videos you see of missile launches are with modern missiles which are generally considered 'smokeless'. The ones we have modelled are the earlier versions which left quite definite smoke and vapour trails.

On the early sparrows does not show a lot of smoke like on this video,

found the .eff in question, thanks bravo,

is it ok to open and edit with a standard text editor such as NotePad? Just don't want to change a file type if it'll cause problems

fresco, yes, simple text editor is fine - just remember to make a backup copy of the file before you start editing, just in case. ;)

I have a job interview tomorrow, so it isn't certain, but if I have time, I may open up the .eff, and look at it tomorrow. found a couple of .eff related threads here at SAS, which I'll read through before I start.  ;D
