I guess the MiG 21R isn't part of the latest version of the 2.1 package (the one in the #287 reply) no more, isn't it ?
I can see a "MIG21BIS", a "MIG21MF" and a "MIG21S" file in the "000_MiG-21_Third_Generation" folder, but no "MIG21R".
Also, the game keeps CTD at 20% until I erase the MIG21R line of my air.ini . After that, it works flawlessly, but without the MiG 21R variant.
I have installed the MiG 21 PF/PFM/FL from the newest version (2.1) and the new strings and these ones work normal.
No wingman explosion problems for me, with any of the variants that works (S/MF/BIS).

Those files are FM, MiG-21R uses MiG-21S's file (because it is almost identical).
From my side there were no changes to the MiG-21R. Maybe Vega did something... (PM me)

Another issue I find is that a lot of loadouts have missing weapon....if them should be 2xmissiles or 4xmissiles they have only one side weapon and the other side is empty....

Corrupt hooks, I've already sent Vega corrected meshes, but...
I don't know, I am stuck on 2.1 version... :\

you had to uninstall previous mod and replace folder with new one, reading log seem that you overwrite, classfile called "CockpitMIG_21PFM" in not in used in this mod

Today I noticed that I have a problem with the version of the MF, as I am QMB plane on the runway itself rises and rotates back, the motor is still switched off, the plane did not explode and chassis looks strange, the main is kind of hidden but you can see part of the shin and wheels, and the front is not all.

Sorry but I have tested the MF and I have it working correctly....maybe you need last early MiG21 version and Vega late MiG21 versions 2.2....
