Hello all!

Something that I think would add to the enjoyment of this sim is the ability to further customize your aircraft by choosing which aircraft number is displayed along with the national markings. Unfortunately only in multiplayer is this option available, so it would be wonderful if a mod could be made that enables one to take advantage of that in singleplayer.
Normally the game chooses your aircraft number for you based on your squadron and wingmen number. It's not feasible to have a number of, say, 99 in this manner.
Here is a screenshot of what the arming menus look like:



At the top is what you get in multiplayer. Instead of a markings on/off switch you can type in a number 1-99 and select a squadron (font type for some countries) and it is painted on the aircraft with the national markings.
If someone could find a way to add those options into the singleplayer arming screen and override the default markings behavior that would be incredible! I think this idea is a lot like matmanager, but more elegant. I really don't like clogging my install up with more files when the markings are already there.

this is already doable, to some degree, although you would have to create a separate tga for each number, and can only select one at a time.
still, it does allow you to at least use a custom number for your plane.
