The "Bunny Fighter" MiG-21MF
« on: October 30, 2013, 03:20:44 PM »

This crazy-looking aircraft was flown by a mercenary pilot in a war between the Congo and Angola.  The idea was to use the bizarre paint scheme to lure enemy fighters, and it was apparently quite successful.

Most of the best pictures I could find were of a model, shown here: http://www.themodellingnews.com/2013/04/eduard-148-mig-21mf-bunny-fighter-club.html

A couple of detail shots:

And one shot of the plane being used in a photoshoot to prove that it is in fact a real airplane (link because it's huge and spoilers don't work apparently): http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/uploaded-images/2013-8/16/312856.jpg
