Excelent!

The way you can be positive of the distance is taking in 3ds Max (or whatever program) the look in the axial way of the chocks (when you see two triangles), then you draw temporary circle (the tire) slightly pressed and under level on ground, proportional to the chocks. Then you put them to the appropriate distance.

I think that chocks 1/4th the height of the wheels are correct, and your Mustang is kind of that.

You should not worry about the size, because the idea (and now I got that in the Chock MOD) is to escalate the chocks proportionally to the wheel. So if you create this pair proportional to a circle, I will apply a factor in its size and always will be perfectly fit to any wheel.

Perhaps would be better to have a Little shorter cord in comparison. But event though right now it is lovely.

Are you using the same texture for the two chocks? Have you seen my worn out texture? With rubber remaints, etc?

  Regards,
                      Pablo

Pablo;
I don't know how to scale in gmax.  It's trial and error for me.  I tried the 1 unit = 1 meter but my original chock attempt was almost as big as an aircraft.  I don't know how to get a wheel from a Mustang or the size of the wheel into gmax to do the comparison you suggest.

I can shorten the cord, no problem.  I've been using the same texture for all chocks but I have to admit yours is much more appropriate so I'll use that.  Thanks.

Lovely!

Can you upload the full object? I will publish the new version of the Chocks MOD with your visual improvment.

  Thanks,

Tomoose,
now it is almost perfect. For those who want to test the Chocks MOD, it is ghere. Later I will formally release it.

Thanks to your 3D collaboration. If there is a chance I will prefer to keep the full 256x256 texture for the chocks themselves and perhaps using an extra small file for the cord.

With my new approach and Tomoose's pair of chocks it Works OK in 80% of the planes. Thwere are some problems with planes with wheels that don't touch the ground and unfortunately, there isn't any way to solve that.

  Regards,
                           Pablo

Dear Pablo , a really missing thing is an animated wind flag....maybe you can animate stock to track at least wind direction and , if can be done , wind force estimation?

FINALLY I managed to get something into the game that's bigger than a breadbox, LOL.  This starter trolley/cart is big enough to need shadows so that's my next step.
I could probably make the wheels rounder.  I was paranoid about the number of polys but in this case I could add more.

for all the lazy folk out there, such as myself, i added a combined link at the bottom of the first post for all these cool objects.
the folder structure is already in place, just drop it inside your MODS/SAS/DBW folder, add the static entries, and you're good to go ;)
