One of the loudest prop planes I've ever had the pleasure of hearing take off! You guys are awesome! Thanks for all your hard work on this.

Update on first page at the bottom. Sorry I could not get the rear gunner's pit changed. I have not had a lot of time for modding lately.

can i get clarification on the updated version, is it supposed to be amphibious?
i.e: working gears as well as the float?
i ask, as it doesn't have working gear at all (modact 530)...
is this just something i misunderstood?
in it's current form, it's purely a water plane, at least for me.....

I have it working in my modact 530 install now. You have to copy and use the fm410 folder contents for a 530 installation because I believe the duck is supplied with fm409 as the default. Also, you still have to use J2F-DuckS if you want working wheels. I hope that helps.

The FM is for both ducks but you must use the DuckS for both land and water. Later I could make its own slot but I kept both to honor the work done by the original makers of the first duck.

sorry guys, it's early morning here, and maybe i still need time for this info to sink in properly, but the previous two replies have done nothing but confuse me even more -
DuckS? what plane is being referred to now?
i had the earlier version of this (from this same thread) and it's also called J2F-Duck
now i added the updated one, also called J2F-Duck, and had to remove the earlier one, otherwise it's simply two planes trying to co-exist with one air entry.
i know nothing about another version, DuckS.....  ???
guess i missed something somewhere, will start searching....

edit - okay, i see, this updated one has a DuckS version air entry.
i didn't realise the update consisted of two variants, doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere other than in the accompanying readme, which like a fool i didn't read, thinking that this was merely an update of the existing one.
i'm sure i can sort it out now, thanks :D

Hey Malone, I'll help you keep some hair on your head and remind you that raising and lowering the landing gear on the J2F-DuckS is controlled by your dive brake key. Also, the DuckS begins each mission with the gear up, even if it starts on land, so you'll have to lower the gear to take off . Good luck and have fun with the Duck.

Maybe I should post a new thread with just the DuckS to keep confusion down?

Thoughts?
