Bump. :) Has anyone had time to look at fixing this plane for water take offs yet? The plane bounces and wrecks its prop before you can take off.
Thank you.

There are a few links through out this thread, Which one is the finished version?

Or, what all do I have to download?

Bravo,

Go to the bottom of the first post of this thread and download both the Grumman J2F-Duck folder and the Wing fix update located right under it.

The readme.txt is dated and doesn't mention the new stuff, but the Duck_README.txt has the information you'll need to add to your air.ini so don't forget to do that. Also, the 4.09 version is the default installed so if you're running 4.10 you'll have to copy everything in the fm410 folder to the main one and overwrite the existing files to convert it to 4.10.

Don't forget to apply the wing fix update and you have the latest version available. Fly the J2F-DuckS, it has all the latest stuff.

There's some flight instruction and gear use information I posted on page 12 of this thread too.

The Duck is a hoot to fly. I hope they keep upgrading her.

I've been working on this plane with CWatson and we have updates coming soon.

Nav lights added, wheels sinking into the ground fixed, new loadouts, FM fixed so water starts work correctly, reworked default skin and more.

And she's still amphibious.  8)

What was wrong with the pit and the wings?

Beware the cockpit is a Beta version, because the upper wing skin does not change, despite many attempts, we hope that someone can do better or can help us.

you could not see the top wing, it was non existant, maybe I missed an update somewhere in the post...........

I'd love to see the front cowl obstruction cleared from the pilot's gun sight view. This would be a welcome pit enhancement. Also, using the PBY Catalina's side gunner's view down a Browning 50 cal. would be a closer visual match for the rear gunner's view than the current Duck one. I posted a screen shot on the previous page of this post. That would really polish the Duck pit up a bit.
