T-6 Texan/ NA-50 (Texan Fighter)
« on: November 11, 2013, 05:56:28 PM »

first good night everyone!

well, I think we all know that classic, some time ago someone tried to make a frankenplane this aircraft but failed.

I think he deserves a slot on the Il-2, and deserves much!

I would also like to see that fighter conversion along with a P-43!

what I saw in HSFX 7 is an SBD Dauntless, using the T-6 slot, only that.  ;)

The P-43 is an old dream for me, something fascinates me that plane, just like the prototype of the P-60.

Wellit might being a franken from the SBD, but you got to admit it is pretty damn close in appearance. And it is not just that. The FM is made lighter and should be easier to turn. I dunno, because I have never flown it. But if it is based on Beo´s franken a while back it is

there is also a Texan pack on another modding site that is quite good :)
I am using it myself, and as LeOne said, it is pretty close in appearance to actual Texans;
I like that pack :)

NO IT IS NOT CLOSE! In summary, it is only SBD with two-blade proppeler and T-6 canopy. Wings and tail are really different from SBD. I think, that at least the proper 3D with FM of that franken would do.

I recognize that the modeling of aircraft requires much time and knowledge.
And I know that even to make a frankenplane, requires time and dedication, and honestly thought nice changes in SBD to make it more like the T-6.
But I think the T-6 has historical value too large to be just a Frankenplane.

Excellent idea. This plane is too famous to live only as a franken. If so the whole family: Texan, P-64, Wirrway, Boomerang ...

I know this topic is old, but maybe someone will decide to model NA-50/P-64 now that we already have the T-6.
