Italian Kamikazes!
A desperate Italian pilot called Günther Brandt ...

... drives his Macchi into the ground ...

... and the resulting explosion makes me ...

... dead.

Farewell to sunshine, farewell to the thousands of Rubles I received for shooting down 30+ Fascist swines, farewell to vodka, that we had with my comrades to the health of Stalin, farewell to the Motherland, farewell to Olga, farewell to the Volga.

Nice story sniper ;)
Unfortunately that's what you get on servers with "Normal" difficulty setting: Desperate people with lack of control. Lack of control about anything, including their mindset.

Another two random pictures of Skylla and me...

It was not online, it was the end of my SP career in full real except for icons. The funny/not so funny/bug-related aspect of the story is that according to the devs there shouldn't be AI Macchis in the Moscow campaign, Günther Brandt is a relatively rare Italian name, and the AI's inclination to drive his plane into the ground is said to have been fixed in 3.001. Whether a plane with no bombs exploding 30 m right behind me should kill me in an instant is an open question.  8)

I've seen planes diving into ground on 3.001 at least as often as I did on 2.012d.
Concerning the career issues I can't add much, didn't test the career mode yet.

Another two random pictures of Skylla and me...

If you think that was close, you'll appreciate this:

...and that's just the cockpit view, from outside it looks even more scary.

Lol, you should repost it in both the Humour and the Art of Flight section. Could also be used as a FAC splashscreen.
