yes, what i've experienced is really good, the potential for this, if developed properly, is astounding.
the physics feel right, cockpit immersion is superb, the lack of any object pop-ups on the map(objects in the distance come into view seamlessly as you get closer), the much better feeling of altitude and speed when flying closer to the ground, the epic mile high columns of smoke that are visible from miles away, as they should be, and seem to have no real effect on framerate, these are just some of the things i noticed.
in fact, although i obviously should upgrade my PC for this sort of next-gen game, it still played relatively well, with no significant frame drop-offs at any stage.
the only time i noticed a slowdown was when panning around inside the cockpit quickly. this led to some slow blurring of the scene, which very quickly disappeared when i stopped . panning around slower also helped a lot, lol.
so, yes, it still has some ways to go, no doubt, but my overall impression of it in this early stage, is extremely good.
considering that i've never really been able to get CloD running properly yet, my first outing in this new sim was really enjoyable.
i'll be in the queue for this when its released, definitely
edit: if i have one major gripe at the moment, its the overly complicated control setup.
while i can appreciate a good flight sim having multitudes of control options, when things go wrong, as they did for me, it can quickly become a nightmare.
i found that suddenly many of my controls were being shared with more than one input, and this all seemed to happen of its own accord.
my elevators became reversed, and no amount of trying to correct it in setup worked. the game would only recognise one direction on my joystick, so i found myself left stuck with a reversed elevator control.
at this point, i ended my test flight.
