Found this today - great sense of speed in low level flying among buildings in destroyed city and beautiful close up of plane during landing.

I must admit that lately I've made friends with BoS/BoM again.
The 2.009 update greatly improved playability for me, graphics look near perfect now.
I might have missed a few more updates inbetween, but now I can actually take off without just turning in circles, land without losing my gear all the time, fight without getting the engine cranked up by enemy sniper AI gunners on first shot, attack ground target without getting shot up by AI AAA before they even get in sight etc.
On a sidenote, in my early days I was always shocked to see how I "collided" with trees in ground attack sorties even though I flew well 20m above them - this issue is gone too, I can now even sneak in between trees ;)
And last but not least, ReShade 3.0.7 is working perfectly fine on BoS/BoM, whereas with IL-2 1946 I have to stick to ReShade 2.x for an obvious rendering error.

BoS, let's become friends again 8)

Best regards - Mike

Admin edit: Please don't quote pics!
It ( BoS,BoM,BoK etc.,) is definitely getting better & shows real commitment by the Studio 777 crew.Persona;;y I bounce around from the BAT install of trusty original Il-2,BoS ( in particular the Pacific Naval Aviation campaignsand the new & improved ATAG CloD ( and am excited by the long delayed but still up & coming big new Mediterrean patch.)Now with VR offering even more immersion, the possibilities as vast indeed...Welcome Mike!

I hit the ground pretty hard apparently!!!!
BTW I was going to add one very small bit of advice ( I have shared the experience of wandering all over the countryside trying to get off the ground in the 190:) you probably already know to pull the stick back to lock the tail wheel- it works wonders! However the Ju-88 does share the 190's wandering ways without a locking tail wheel. It is a challenge!
May I also suggest the scripted campaign "The Butcher" found here: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/28786-butcher-sp-scripted-campaign-fw190/
You'll get plenty of experience taxing the Butcher Bird !

Yep, it's come a long way.
Since Jason took charge it been upward and onward. He's also made it clear that a mods mode will come to BoS&M so there's that to look forward to as well.

Naah, don't think so.
The way he moves his hand up to the nose I think the pilot is more into some kind of white powder.
