Probably you're right Uufflakke, I thought of weed because of the "WE" below the canopy ;)

Jason (...) also made it clear that a mods mode will come to BoS&M
That would be great and that's what really matters most to me.
Let's face it: If IL-2 1946 would just have been another game to play, with no way to put hands on it ourselves, many of us would not be here anymore.
The whole SAS wouldn't exist and I would probably have pushed the 1946 DVD back into the shelf on the day after purchase.
BoS/M/K/<whatever> really needs a mods interface, eye candy we have plenty of already.

SAS Storebror,
This is very slighty OT,but I'd like to ask you if the aircraft in Il-2 1946 et al could have ever had working shadowsin exteriors and perhaps interiors? It would have made a big difference in emersion game play & as we see here screenshots. Some of the aircraft ( I am thinking now of the Corair stable) are so close to the standard on CloD & BoS.Could you explain ,briefly, the hurdles that prevent perhaps the biggest Mod we'll probably never see?
( Please feel free to move to a more appropriate discussion area.)

Shadows in IL2 is a wish that exists since -at least- 2010.
Search for 'cockpit shadows', 'self-shadowing', 'dynamic shadows' or 'moving shadows' and many topics pop up.
Here is one with an explanation of why not:

self-shadowing
That's the keyword.
We don't have it in IL-2 1946 and if we had, it would just reveal all the nasty "hacks" which have been applied to IL-2 planes to make them look like they do.
No sorry sir, that's out of reach for us.

I wish there were more Stuka pilots.
Our group I./JG 54, is trying to recruit them in addition to our 109/190 pilots to have an organic strike ability to try and move the servers, but 87 pilots seem few and far between.

While we are wishing-how about a SP Stuka scripted campaign?

I'm with ya.
The single player side of the house is definitely tilted towards the reds, as far as amount of campaigns go. And any German campaign is 109/190 based.
You'd think there would at least be an anti tank campaign for the 87.
