If you have the JapanCat Ki-43 IIRC them are incompatible for this reason!

As wrote in the post above IIRC the Japan Cat Ki-43 conflict with yours as they have an updated hier and yours still point at part of the stocks....

Hi UberDemon and thank you sincerely for your kind interest trying to find a solution.

I do not have JapanCat's Ki-43, I just installed your Ki-43 right on top of a clean 4.09+UP2.01 install, without any further mod, and got the problem. Currently, I removed your Ki-43's and checked with stock ones (I think UP2.01 does have stock Ki-43) and can't replicate the glitch.

Honestly, with all respect for members who state they have no problems with your Ki-43, I get what looks to me a logical evidence of a wrong damaged mesh on your Ki-43-I. Must be said that the glitch is not so easy to get and happens only when fuselage is hit.

Sorry. I hope that soon or later you or some other talented guy will fix and possibly assemble in a sole pack a "true" Ki-43 series, one of the most ill-treated ones of Il-2, virtually from ALL points of view (flight model, performance, variants, loadouts).

Dear Graybeard , why don't you wrote before that your testing are for 409?

If the post is for all 4 main game version and the releaser test them from 410 onwards is easy make wrong tests....

I'll check for my 409 game in the next days!

Maybe some cosmetic mods that have a hier inside....

He should check also to have no other 3do/plane/name of every Ki-43 folder in his 409....

I'm really sorry for all the disturb I'm giving for this mod. I too can't understand. At any rate, my wish for a comprehensive Ki-43 pack still would be motivated by performance of the whole second series (Ki-43-II) and missing Ki-43-IIb. DZZ fixes only loadouts; I would have mixed and matched his mod with other ones I have, to get a resemblance of the whole series, although these latter are of poor quality.

Over and out (for now, I'll take care to inform you if by chance I should find an error on my side about Ki-43_I complained glitch).

Thanks again,
GB

greybeard,

OK... try this fix:  http://www.uberdemon.net/dzzmods/Ki-43-Ifix_hier_dzzmod.zip

I noticed that my mod behaved badly in HSFX 7.0, assuming it contains JapanCat's mod... so I changed the mod's main mesh construct to reflect the ones used in the SFS files from HSFX 7.0... it did the trick for my install, it is working as before.  The download has some instructions I hope you can use...

I'd hate for you to have the Ki-43s without the proper loads...

OK... try this fix:

IT WORKS!!!

I tested it for five times in QMB (same method used in previous tests, against gunners of a B-24): at least for three times fuselage showed hits and in one instance caught fire and, after a while, exploded. All without a single glitch.

THANK YOU!!! Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Sorry, I don't use UP3.0. For a series of reasons, from a while I went back to 4.09m, modded by UP2.01, plus a bunch of add-ons (it takes half an hour to load them all by JSGME!) with which I'm happy. Lately I developed also a certain interest for unmodded 4.12m, at least for its ease of use (in respect of my heavily modded game), together with a good completeness and some flexibility (customizable sounds).

Thanks anyway for all your work and your rare availability; persons like you make better this community.

All the best!
