White Tiger (2012)
« on: December 01, 2013, 12:59:30 AM »

Something different, artistic russian ww2 tank "horror" movie, with great actors and excellent camera work. I really liked it.

Quote
Great Patriotic War, early 1940s. After barely surviving a battle with a mysterious, ghostly-white Tiger tank, Red Army Sergeant Ivan Naydenov becomes obsessed with its destruction.

Thank you Istvan! I will see this great film tonight.
This is interesting as the title suggests.
A few months back a few guys from Hollywood were out to make a WW2 film based around the
story of a WW2 Tiger tank crew fighting in Russia. It was (or still is) a
fictional story with a sort of "monster" who chases the Tiger and its crew to kill them.
The  title name they came up with was "Panzer 88"

well its almost the same movie then... ;D
saw it, and while not impressive in the tech department, the story was gripping enough to keep me taped to my screen.
a Lot of shells fired at red tanks, and a lot of effort to hunt the Ghost.

Thanks for posting.

A few off topic tips for movies at YouTube.

Search:
"The Right Stuff"...
"About Schmidt" very sad and very good movie
"A Beautiful Mind" also very sad

Also a good bunch of classic WWII movies atm around.
Watch if its legal. Do NOT download. To my understanding over here watching is legal, downloading not.
That is my understanding of 2013's law over here.   Anyxone correct me.

PS
Midway is also a WWII movie I enjoyed since first seeing it in school, if you get a chance to see it, it is vey "old school".
