Amazing! Thank you very much!
Another great addition to the copious amounts of mods at SAS. I have just downloaded the most recent buttons file today, and I love the mods here!

Ultracool package, many thanks to everybody involved. Now we have it almost in weary shape, good ol Droptanks.

Hi,
I've registered on this forum just for this aircraft :)
Thanks for this model :)
But, I have a question regarding installation:
When I  unzip first package, I have a folders with paths like:
MiG17_SASPackv2\MiG17_SASPack\3do\Plane\MiG-17bis(Multi1) & MiG-17bis(ru)

Which one is to unpacked and placed into MODS folder?
Then, in MODS folder, I do not have any class to overwrite?
And then, how do I activate it?

I'm using UP2.01n (latest, I hope). So, I've tried and added MiG17_SASPack to jsgmemods folder and to install it with JSGME (which looks like it is installed OK, but nothing happens ingame).

Any suggestions?
Thanks

You put exactly this "MiG17_SASPack\3do\Plane\MiG-17bis(Multi1) & MiG-17bis(ru)" into mods folder.
So, just "MiG17_SASPack", no need to unfold further?

If you have UP201 nothing else needed, otherwise you'll need the "F86 & Mig15 & Mig 17" pack in jets forum. I guess you can overwrite over it (I use UP201 so not sure).
Do you mean this one:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3445.0.html

Btw, I've just checked content of above folders, and I found its skin. First of all, it looks the same as the one that comes with UP201, second of all - none of both look like MiG-17, just like slightly stretched MiG-15. I mean, wing shape on skin is just like on MiG-15.

Thanks for you explanations!
Well, with all due respect to Ranwers and his work - which is far more then I can do - it does not look quite like MiG-17. It still looks like some odd and stretched MiG-15.
Maybe if you stretch the fuselage a bit more, and make it slimmer, that way you will have more room to stretch wing roots?

Again, respect to you work!

I think someonemake a 'new' MiG-17 it could get new 3d, FM, and new weapons. A MiG 17 could also have droptanks and Missiles... I think we should make a Mod with "MiG-17F and Shenjang- J5"... I think that was a sort of request...

Thanks to everyone involved in creating this superb aircraft! In my humble opinion it is the most successful fighter of it's time (I don't want to start a comparison argument here  ;) ) This aircraft is now the main star of our display team. Check this out!
