I hope it will be full of maps and planes, and not too much eye-candies ! I also hope it will keep the philosophy of Lo-Rez by default with Hi-Rez as option when available !

Yikes, I hope it will be full of hi-res, eye-candy, new effects, etc! and I run IL-2 on a laptop. Let's just let these guys do what they do best and then go from there. Guys with low-spec machines can always just run a stock 4.12.2 or HSFX, etc. but DBW is the creme of the crop when it comes to content, planes, effects, campaigns, 3d fixes, repaints, sound mods, etc. etc. While I understand people want to keep IL-2 playable on their machines, we can't hold back from continuing to develop and improve the games visuals, sounds, lighting, effects, etc. DBW 2 is going to be great and if need be, we will mod it ourselves with somethings along the lines of the New-TFM eventually!
Thanks SAS team for all your work!

Until the official 4.12.2 version comes out, I found a temporary fix that actually WORKS. This is especially helpful to Steam users who can't downgrade it to the right version: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=39298.0

Does this downgrade your game to 4.10? Or are you running DBW on 4.12.2?

I haven't played it in a while, but I do believe it does. I should've rephrased, this is really just a fix for people on 4.12.2 who want to play DBW without all the hassle of having to downgrade your game which from experience I can say SUCKS. It does I believe bring your game down to 4.10. But again, it's been crashing on my PC lately (broken drivers) so you'd have to test it yourself. But it IS worth it! DBW is, at least in my opinion, the best mod out there since I only play single player.

I was just curious. Thanks for your fix, but I play DBW+New-TFM on a DVD install.

Having been involved in Software Development for many years, the best thing to say is "it gets here when it gets here" :)

The only question I have, is will I have to have UP3 installed, to install and play DBW2? Sorry, reading through the thread, and it's clear as mud :(

Wish IL-2 was as simple to dev for, as FS9
