Isn't TFM kind of DBW for 4.12 already? At least it's pretty close.

Is it better to wait for the 4.13 and have it all together or not a good idea?

imho DBW needs quite an update because it has none of the recent cool maps, 3d fixes, object repaints, reworked vehicles and other goodies...iirc Monty intended TFM to be this update once DBW2 is released

Well Ive been too busy with BS to even show up for several mos now, and I see everything is still the same around here. Actually that's kinda comforting.

It has been somewhat addressed by other team members here but essentially, DBW for 4.12.2m has been in the works for a while. The two main issues facing it have been trying to get enough members involved with and being able to commit to working together on it AND to devise a way to package and release it in a user-friendly manner.

In its current state, DBW is a bit of a mess and ideally if it were possible, it should be repacked into new SFSs and release with its own installer. However the time and effort to do that is prohibitive considering most of our schedules. So currently, the members involved are working as hard as they can to clean up any existing bugs in the DBW2 beta devised by Benitomuso (which is a combo of UP3, DBW1.71 and latest HSFX) and come up with a more user friendly DBW2. One thing that is being done which is incredibly important and that it will contain a cleaned up and consolidated list of ALL map objects currently available. Previously this was an utter mess and made it difficult to add in new maps and missions.

Besides this, it might not be exploding with new content, however TFM covers that front quite nicely and I'm sure Monty will be keen to keep up TFM in the future.

Very happy to hear that DBW2 is still progressing.  I hope the complete version of Tigers sounds can be included as in DBW 1.71, they add so much to the game.  It's just not the same without it!

Seb, how should this work?

Noone knows whats inside 4.13 spoken in technical terms (DT.dll).
We do not even know if the modders can do a ModActivator.
Or are willing to do.  :-X

So wait until the pack is released and let the experts have a look.
Then start to ask such questions.

What will be the difference of it if there is a TFM with ALL?  Isn't it that way?
