Thanks for the hint with the searchlights. Do we have any QMB mission where searchlights are available? Or any other mission that could be used for testing this? You know I'm an FMB idiot.

If I remember correctly, stock game Okinawa red none qmb at night had them but not positive. I think these old ones are still there.

just go into fmb and select a map, make it night, place the flak which should be under artillery then place some searchlights they are under stationary objects

 :) Wait, wait...lemme see if I'm following this; Flak bursts WILL illuminate the cockpit per explosion IF you add searchlights to the scenario?? But not if you don't? Wow...I'm confused but nevertheless thrilled if the cockpit "strobing" is in 4.12! Is there a specific FX pack that I need as well?

I wish I could find my original files that Sanka created from my first request for this effect years ago but I can't locate it. Usually, I'm a hoarder when it comes to my mods but in this case I've dropped the ball.

Roo it goes like this-- AA or flak gunners don't shoot if they can not see the target.
By using the lights they see the aircraft and because of that they will indeed  shoot.

No special mod needed.
