Hey, that's just what I was thinking lately!






(wheels, tires, etc. are also finished, it's just that they are on separate skins, and Skinl can't display more than one at a time. Transparency is also messed up)

Taras, check that file i've sent you a while ago. =]

I made GAZ-66 truck and attached to ZU-23-2




But now serious problem!
 set this combi on a map in FMB ... OK
 Mission starting ... OK
 ZU-23-2 begin to fire ... screen begin stutter and the game stops

log shows "Too many faces".
I made whole (ZU-23-2 and GAZ-66) in one Body.msh.
That may cause it.
I will divide Body into 3 or 4 parts.

In wikipedia, rate of fire is written as...

it is working like rotating cannon - when one fires, one is being loaded - cyclic (2000) or it loads and fires only one barrel at while - this is against overheating problems. Or it means, that basicaly it fires 2000 rpm, but you have breaks between series of bullets, so it makes 400 practicaly :P

I thing reason 2 is more reasonable.

As far as I know in Il-2 all guns shoot at their cyclic rate. Overheating and reloading has not come to our skies yet.

Honestly I don't know how to apply those wiki data to IL-2 reaquired format, I did my set up for Shilka just by feeling and experience from vids and lock on.

As you can see the rate of fire is enormous  ;D :D

BUT! They fire with a very short bursts with few seconds between them. So that is how it should be I think.
