Mission help
« on: January 11, 2014, 07:11:01 PM »

Hey guys,

I am currently making a campaign about Germans fighting in the Pacific. I finished the first mission, but when I put my plane into autopilot, instead of taxiing like it was supposed to do, it took off. I want a few volunteers to test the mission out to see if this will happen in other installs. Only requirement is that the game must be at 4.12.2.

Thanks,

  Einfeld

You have probably set the taxi-to-take-off waypoints wrong. Or none at all.

There is a tutorial in 4.12.2. Follow that!  :)

I did everything the test mission by Team Dialdos correctly. I even double checked and triple checked and cross reference the two missions. I'll send you a copy of the mission if you like. Since you are more experienced and I haven't played for ages, maybe you could take a look?

I just tried the mission, set players plane AI and all blue planes taxiied and started.
No problems at all. In 4.12.2 MA5.30.

Maybe you could set one or two taxiing waypoints before the plane enters their starting point on the runway. But with this planes its not necessary it seems. When making another mission with Jets I had to do this otherwise the planes started not along the runway but in wrong directions.

Strange. Because when I put my plane into autopilot, it just takes off without taxiing. And if I taxi by myself, none of the other planes in my flight would move.

I don't know what you mean? I haven't played the game in quite a while, so I may have forgotten what you are talking about.
