Hello,

Here is my conf.ini for my GTX 460
[Render_OpenGL]
TexQual=3
TexMipFilter=3
TexCompress=0
TexFlags.UseDither=1
TexFlags.UseAlpha=0
TexFlags.UseIndex=0
TexFlags.PolygonStipple=0
TexFlags.UseClampedSprites=0
TexFlags.DrawLandByTriangles=0
TexFlags.UseVertexArrays=1
TexFlags.DisableAPIExtensions=0
TexFlags.ARBMultitextureExt=1
TexFlags.TexEnvCombineExt=1
TexFlags.SecondaryColorExt=1
TexFlags.VertexArrayExt=1
TexFlags.ClipHintExt=0
TexFlags.UsePaletteExt=0
TexFlags.TexAnisotropicExt=1
TexFlags.TexCompressARBExt=0

TexFlags.TexEnvCombine4NV=1
TexFlags.TexEnvCombineDot3=1
TexFlags.DepthClampNV=1
TexFlags.SeparateSpecular=1
TexFlags.TextureShaderNV=1

HardwareShaders=1

Shadows=2
Specular=2
SpecularLight=2
DiffuseLight=2
DynamicalLights=1
MeshDetail=2
VisibilityDistance=3

Sky=2
Forest=3
LandShading=3
LandDetails=2
LandGeom=3

TexLarge=1
TexLandQual=3
TexLandLarge=1

VideoSetupId=17
Water=4
Effects=1
ForceShaders1x=0

PolygonOffsetFactor=-0.15
PolygonOffsetUnits=-3.0

It works for my DBW, NewTFM and HSFX7 install, CPU Q6600 2.4Ghz
Caution: with OS W7, I had some trouble till I increased my RAM to 8Gig
Don't ask me why, but the GTX 460 apparently needs RAM with W7
Hope it will help you

Edit: my other settings with th Nvidia Inspector:
-Antialiasing: Gamma correction ON
-Antialiasing: Mode: Overide application settings
-Antialiasing: settings 8x
-Antialiasing: Transparency supersampling: OFF/Multisampling
-Anisotropic filtering mode: User-defined / OFF
-Anisotropic filtering settings: 4x
-Texture filtering: Anisotropic filter optimization: OFF
-Texture filtering: Anisotropic sample optimization: OFF
-Texture filtering: Negative LOD Bias: Clamp
-Texture filtering quality: Quality
-Texture filtering: Trilinear optimzation: OFF
-Triple buffering: On
-Vertical Sync: Force ON

just for a little trial and error, try these (if using Nvidia Inspector)

AA = 8xSQ
AA-TS = 8x Sparse Grid SS

The real magic setting is use of 8xSQ.  Its heavy on graphics card, but 460 should handle it.

I run a GTX 670, up from a previous GTX295.

I definitely agree on the 8xSQ. Unfortunately my 9600 GSO cannot handle it. If 8xSQ is too slow, try 8xS and see if that is acceptable.

Does the transparency SS have a significant effect on quality and framerates? I haven't tried it.

I do not think it affects FPS much but does improve quality.  basically it removes the left to right diagonal lines which appear on smooth face buildings and ground shadows from smoke.  Try with and without by zooming in to clear faced airfield building or fly over some smoke shadow to see effect.  Basically from distance it will appears as shimmer.

I just flew a couple of mission on HSFX7 and DBW: no framerate loss, and quality seems up (to my not-graphic-expert eye). CG fan noisier though, apparently the CG had to work harder but not beyond its limits.
Will continue to run tests, and if positive will keep these settings.
Thanks for the tip
