Once a Fritz-X or Hs-293 is launched, the bomb sight becomes “immobile.” After detonation of the weapon somewhere in the blur, the bomb sight becomes controllable again. How can I change this so I can control weapon and bomb sight together?
Not at all at the moment. The bombsight stays non-moveable intentionally. The keys used to control your bombsight are the keys to control the bombs now. It doesn't make much sense to let them control both at once since you might want to side-step your bomb 20 times when you need to side-step the bombsight just let's say 2 times.
Actually controlling the bombs is only fun from outside (F2 or F7) view.
Imho it is also fun to controll the bombs from the crew positions. The standard commands for the bomb controll are side slip +/- and bombsight altitude +/-, thus no need to disable the bombsight angle +/-. Please see how it is working with the Do 217 and He 111.
While it is still possible and more immersive to use the Henschel from the copilots window position with the target at 1 to 3 o' clock, the use of the Fritz X without moving the bombsight up and down is uneccesarily impaired.
My workaround for Fritz X so far is:
- dial in the required angle,
- as soon as the crosshairs are about to reach the target, tilt down the bombsight,
- release Fritz X and keep it in sight by adjusting plane speed.
What I miss here is the ability to move the bombsight up in order to quickly check the relation between Fritz X and the target.
It would be great if someone finds the time to fix this.
I have the same problem with the Torpedokommandogerät (beautifully long german word (Torpedokommandogerätbedienermützenständerherstellerehefraukittelschürzenfabrikantenvilla.)) not showing as Walter. I tried to open some of the .tga files f.g. z_angle et al., but irfan view refuses to open them complaining about a wrong file format or corrupted file. Redownloaded, but still got the same. Is there any way to get the Torpedogerät 3do stuff in a working condition?
