Bombsaway's Rework of Lonestar's and Gump's Coral Sea map.

I Love the work of Lonestar on the Croal Sea map and Gump's retexture of the map. I just could not stand the generated texture trees that show the map grid so I was playing around with some textures just for the fun of it and liked what I found. I pm'ed Lonestar and he said to go for it.  ;D Gumpy did a great job of finding some really good textures so I am still using some that he found along with others from Mixx and ones that if you know who made them let me know so I can add them to the credits.

Thanks Thorsten. I wish I knew how to make some good texture runways so I could use them instead of the ugly runway plates. :)

Thanks Bravo. I'm almost done with texturing, reworking some hight issues, I dont like the pointy peaks :) and other small corrections. All that will be left is reworking the population of the map. I'll send it to you if would like to fly around it and look to see if I missed anything before I release it. :)

For airfields:
..maybe check agracier's woodlark, he uses some great templates. AFAIK the original of that is either by him or another modder. You can also see something similar used in the Sidi Ifni map main airfield.

For mountains...not that I ever made altitudes from scratch lol. But what helped  for sharp and ugly peaks around Reno was using the gaussian blurr tool once or twice over them at a specific area ca 10x10 km.
But be careful, if you use that thing withaut cation, you can generate even more weird peaks. :D
What is on the shots looks pretty cool IMHO.
