Trying to find an old mod
« on: January 20, 2014, 11:14:04 AM »

Hi

I saw a post in another thread regarding an old mod:

"There WAS a fix, that limited AI engines to 95 (or was it 97)% of player's engine, but it became obsolete quite long ago; It was compatible with 4.09 i think, but not later, and not with other AI improvements. Probably 2 to 3 years old."

Does anyone know about this mod?
Is it downloadable or can someone perhaps e-mail it to me, please?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

I don't think that's the right one.

The thread I was refering to is this "DBW AI Mod Discussion & Bugs":

I have 1.71 as well and I could swear I read about an AI fix that addressed the problem with AI aircraft having much better speed, acceleration and climb rates.  When I play offline I still experience AI enemies with much better performance and it's quite frustrating.
Is there a separate AI fix out there?

And since the AI overheating mod is already included in DBW it's not likely that's the one intended:

"AI, Engines, Hotkeys & Carriers Mod v2.5 Public Release"
Now standard in the DBW compilation (from v1.7 onwards).

Any more ideas, please?

I remember the AI Hot Fix mod, but don't recall a 95% limiting mod for AI. I would welcome that one for sure. I'm still running 4.09 and the damned AI pilots I tangle with are as elusive as ever.

And the really frustrating thing is it seems like they go like hell when you shoot off pieces and get them smoking.

As I wrote above was the thread "DBW AI Mod Discussion & Bugs" and since the "AI overheating mod" by Sani is already included in DBW it's not likely that's the one intended....

Any more suggestions, please?

Thanks in advance!
