I have to respectfully agree that the Li-2 is adequate for such pre-war improvisation, as I think there is less difference between it and said modified DC-3s than there is between C-47/DC-3 and DC-2, both appearance and performance wise.

A very good improvisational use for the Li-2 though, I wouldn't have thought of it.

I think that adding a couple of bombs and mg at the C-47 should be more easy than delete the turret of the Li-2....

Hello Peter, the mod I have in my install  is titled C47_FBwar, however, I cannot find it here now but if memory serves I think Mark (Bombsaway) was responsible for uploading it. ;)

It has a Salvadorean skin as default and can drop bombs from the side door, if dressed up in a Egyptian skin it could be used for Arab/Israeli 1948 scenario.

I could pack it up and upload again for you if there were no objections from the original author.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

I agree with Poltava. It would be an excellent addition to any SCW, or early Arab/Israeli scenario.

cheers

David

Hello guys, this is the mod pulled straight from one of my installs, sorry I do not have any information as to who the original author was, if they claim ownership and want the link removed I will do as they request:

https://www.mediafire.com/?nqr6z6g5agw166j

Air entry:

C-47Export        air.C_47FB 1                                  usa01 DESERT

As far as I know it does not need any other mod active to work, but I may be wrong on that so use at your own risk. ;)

I have it in my 4.11 and 4.12 ModAct installs, but not in my DBW.  I lost my original DBW when I changed over to Win7 so it may have been there originally, I never re-built the second install to the same degree as the original so the mod may have originally been for 4.10.

Wishing you all thew very best, Pete. ;D

I tried this but keep getting a 60% CTD. Does anyone know if it needs say Ranwers Cockpit mod or other C-47 related mods to work fully? Dont usually ask for help as I enjoy the challenge but this one so far has me stumped chaps! :)

Working fine with Ultraspain 4.12.2.

The skin is an old one and would need some rework, but it could have been worse.

Thanks Pete

now it only needs guns...
