Man, I hope this one comes out in the foreseeable future!  It's a classic, it's insanely advanced for its time frame, and (to me at least) it's the last combat aircraft we need for Vietnam War scenarios.  I will be waiting (im)patiently!

Essex class never had operated A-6 Intruder family.
A-6 was super heavy carrier based bomber in 1960s , Essex class was too small and less catapult power even with SCB-125 modernized.

Essex class operated F-8, A-4, A-7 in their last "CVA" time.

So, no historical A-6 operator carriers exist in IL-2 1946.
