Grumman Martlet Mk.I/Mk.II: Revised version
« on: February 03, 2014, 03:45:53 PM »

The proposed pack of Martlet Mk.I/Mk.II is a replica of excellent mod of CirX.
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,779.msg8478.html#msg8478

Martlets over Norway

However, in comparison with the original, the following changes were made:
- Revised loadout. The planes use British 250lbs Bombs now.
- Replaced default skins and desert default skins are added.
- Revised size of reticle for the gunsight.
- Added Jeronimo's 3D Fixes and Wheels.

Also please find below SAS~Bravo's fix for DBW 1.71 for Martlet Mk.II.

Link: https://www.mediafire.com/download/87fbhtb2bpr1eb0/MartletMkII.zip

Put it into 3do/Plane of the pack and overwrite existing model of Martlet Mk.II.
Note that this 3D model is for DBW 1.71 only. Many thanks to SAS~Bravo for this excellent fix.

Good addition, I've always enjoyed flying the early Wildcats.  Adding the external loads will expand their mission capability. They work very well in 412.2-5.3!!

Thanks ...TS

Thanks for the revised edition, but I have a minor problems in DBW1.71.

Martlet Mk.I loses the inner and outer wing shadows at about 500ft agl.

Hi - I've been trying out the Mk.II from several different carriers over the last few hours and I'm Having a problem in DBW1.71.

When selecting more than a single a/c (I've been using two mostly) then the lead a/c explodes on mission start.

If the No.2 a/c survives the explosion it is positioned well to the left of the centre-line of the carrier. It makes no difference whether I'm piloting the lead or No.2 a/c, it's always the lead that explodes. I was wondering if the collision box for the Mk.II was the same as the MK.1, so even though the wings are folded it detects a collision.

Cheers - Redfox

P.S. Tried other a/c and reverted back to CirX's Mk.II in case I was screwing up or my install was messed up, but everything worked OK.

Dear Redfox,

Thank You for Yr mssgs. Let me ask You which FM You use for CirX's Martlets, either default CirX's one for Martlets or FM of Epervier (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,779.msg262474.html#msg262474).
Also I'll do addtional testings from my side too.
The pack was tested in 4.10/SAS ModAct 3.6, 4.11/SASModAct 4.0 and 4.12.2/SAS ModAct 5.3.

Thank You in advance ofr Yr reply.

Thank You for your speedy reply.

For CirX's Martlets I'm using Epervier's FM.

Dear Redfox,
Bravo kindly agreed to do all necessary testings. The results are below:

Problem and is only in DBW, is the Wing Mesh's from Jeronimo's Cowl Fix. When 2 or more Martlet MkII's  spawn on a carrier, the Wings are unfolded, so causes Explosion at Mission launch.

These wing Mesh's:

So, unfortunatelly revised Martlets are incompatible with DBW 1.71 for now.

Dear Bravo, Thank You for Yr help again. Stefan

I allways liked this plane together with SBD Dauntless those are my preferred AC on Pasific theatre. All tho I almost never do PTO stuff anymore I will take these for a spin when I get home.

Many thanks for this
