Hello Guy!

YES!!! the fix works! silly me forgot to deactivate the folder for the Martlets in the EngineCowls mod which loads up before the aircraft on my install and so I got a crash at first try, but after deactivating, all is fine!

say, can we apply this fix for the F4F-4 as well?

Yes Phil, simply open Cowl Mod and delete those wing mesh's and that should do it.

I´ve done that already :) I meant can I use those wing meshes from your fix for the F4F-4 too?
I guess they would not work for the -3 model as this had 4 wing guns only?

I took the original MartletMkII and installed only the files from Jero's fixes that works for the MkII, and that fixed it. :)

Is there a way to get a closer to real Prop for Mk.I, the Mk.I used a different Prop Hub and props than usual wildcats and Martlet II, it was also having the air-intake, that was due to it being out of the old french order. The cowling I could fix myself using the MK.II carburetor one, but as for the correct spinner I'm overasked. BTW. thanks for th Hints regarding Fixes

Indeed Knochenlutscher is right. Martlets I & II are not F4F-3 & 4s. They were different in many ways. Martlet Mk.I was derived from the F4F-3 but with a wright cyclone engine. Mk.II was similar but not identical with the F4F-3A, a version that we don't have in the IL-2  series. A very good guide is the book series "IN ACTION VOL 191". I can e-mail to anyone that is interested in.
I don't want to critisize the work of Stefan SG. The final result is closer to historical reality.

I have that too Thanks, at least you can spell and explain better. Silly me was nitpicky again.
I didn't meant to critisize the work of the Authors though, excuse me if I made it sound that way. :-\
Btw. tried a stupid thing, tried out the Martlet Mk.I meshes in the F3F4(Multi) slot, to my surprise
it gives a working Plane, though with wrong FM and other glitches. The F4F3(USA) I left in it's state. Jeronimos Fixes seem to work too, even with the Wingmesh files? ???
Could this be a Classfile thing? At least in this setup you can get no crash, T/O from a vessel, no Pit error bright blue horizon.
Best regards Knochenlutscher
