That's great

I tried a new Typhoon campaign : what a pleasure !

I just noticed that the Spit IIa was not available for the "begining 1941" campaign, from what I remember, tehre were alot of them until middle 41.

I will "create" a sqdn91 campaign straing in april 43 with Spit XII early for my own ammusement.

Hi Boelcke

No, I donnot think that the missions are too hard. It's just that, sometimes, I'm a bad pilot. :P
About MatManager, there's still something I donnot understand. I'm trying to use the 2.36 version, and it seems my problems come from the fact that I'm unable to tell my computer not to have some folders (Cache and Regiment) on "read only" mode, whatever I try. I've already read a lot of internet pages about it, some about the 2.36 version not properly working, some others with this 'read only' stuff, some others about other thinks... I'm lost. Anyway, I'll try to investigate it some more later. For example, I'm now trying a Luftwaffe campaign in 1939. Flying a Bf109D (one more plane I never had the occasion to fly in a DGen campaign, btw) for JG26, I got 2 "s" markings on it: the one from your generic skin, below the cockpit and on both sides, and the other one displayed forward only on the left side, coming from my assigned regiment. Even if I tell MatManager not to show that last one, It still appears. But, well, this little problem is really not something that doesn't allow me to enjoy your campaigns a lot, as you probably noticed. Moreover, I'm used to play on "full realist" way, wich means... no external views (except when I'm downed, so I can still see what's happening around, when sliding down to the Channel under my umbrella), so I don't really have the time to check if the german markings or others are displayed in a regular way during the fight., ;D
I wish you a well deserved break from campaign building!

the Spit IIa is included but not available as flyable - the Spit IIb is flyable, it´s easy to correct with next update but is it realy a tragedy, there are so many other planes fylable?

It is a tragedy and I will commit a virtual suicide by trying to cross the channel map in an unarmed Ju87 A2 against 16 P51D.

Of course it is not, it is just a remark.

Note : you wrote the Beaufort was always airstrating, I had the same problem with Juri's Manchuria's campaign :
The SB2 is always air starting in a HSFX7 based install, but ok in a Modact 4.12 install.
Obviously, I do not know why but maybe this can give asura's or experts some ideas

Jeanba, is it down to no suitable runway lengths available for the Beaufort? Just guessing though.

Boelcke, still working through the Phony War stage, as I enjoyed it so much I restarted :) However, is the campaign only hard-wired to use No.1 Squadron (Hurricanes) , or can I change it to a historical Spitfire Squadron like 19, 54 or 92 for the Dunkirk phase missions?

I don't know, I am just saying I noticed a similar problem in Juri's campaign installed under HSFX7

I have talked with Asura about the problem. It is caused by wrong entries in the AllPlanesDB file for HSFX.
In the following line the marked number defines if a plane is flyable (1) or not (0):
SB_2M100A;Allies;0;USSR;None;None;0;Bomber;None;Reconplane;None;2187;210;1130;0;0;0

When the plane is set to 0 it will always start in the air when flown by the player. To have the SB-2 or other aircraft start correctly from an airfield this entry is necessary:
SB_2M100A;Allies;0;USSR;None;None;1;Bomber;None;Reconplane;None;2187;210;1130;0;0;0

thx for information juri, will change it with another update of the plane data files - i sended it to Asura when the first version was done but never got any response from him

with dgen campaigns it´s not possible to change the player unit, only the aircrafts are chooseable - in my campaign the Spit is availble for the player from the Dunkirk part on

Is that a feature/restriction of stock DGEN or could it be changed by Azura in his own DGEN?
