It is rather time consuming to create high resolution textures with the size 2048x2048.
First finding images on Google Earth, Flash Earth or where ever those satellite images are hidden on the internet.
Then stitching useful parts together, making the image seamless and see how it works out in game.
And then the whole procedure starts again for texture #2.
First of all it is not necessary to make every texture high rez, a few ones enlivens the map already.
For those that are familiar with creating 512x512 or 1024x1024 textures here are some alternative ideas to create high rez textures.
The only thing you need to have has already been said by the great philosopher SpongeBob:

pc screenshotuploadTo get the above textures in game I used a high rez photo with size 3888x2592 (see below) of soil with tracks and scaled it to 2048x2048.
After making it seamless, desaturating and changing Contrast/Brightness + adding a BumpH file it is done.
image hosting above 5 mbAnother example is by using an image of a floor carpet:
image upload with previewSame procedure (making it seamless, desaturating and changing Contrast/Brightness + adding a BumpH file) and in game you get this result:

In case you can not find a decent image on the internet make some close ups of your wall, floor, leaves, anything.
By the way, here is an interesting site which offers high rez textures. For free.
You only need to subscribe.
