Np Duffy!  ;)

Since my request was locked, I will go ahead and ask it here:

Would somebody be so kind to create a version of this great modpack which only uses the P-47M aircraft model included as a replacer for the P-47D (Late) in HSFX (no FM, or additional weapons, features, etc.)?

I can't figure out what other files are needed to make this really work (aside from the content of the 3do folder) without ruining something in IL-2, either the QMB shows a blank plane, or the aircraft model remained the same.  :(

Please? ;)

It currently does not really work all that well... having rather random angles and ranges.
Also, would be nice if it was somehow tied with the AI, but... that's a bit too much :))

So do I just drop the 'Jugs Reloaded' extracted files into this location?

C:\ IL-2 1946_SAS_4.12.2 \ #SAS

and then extract SAS_Common_Utils_109.jar into the same location or into the Jugs Reloaded folder? Because when drop in the #SAS folder, the game starts up and then crashes right back to desktop. I am using SAS MODACT 5.0.

It also does the same thing if I drop it only in the Jugs reloaded folder and if I drop it in both locations.

Yes I have edited the air.ini file to what the readme says.

Thanks!

This is not a "Jugs Reloaded" question but a misunderstanding about the SAS Common Utils.
Furthermore it's a crosspost and has been answered here:

You're a bit late to the party, now that it's working for a few thousand players, complaining that
the Jug pack Does not work
doesn't sound reasonable.

I use DBW 1.71 4.11/1
(...)
Any idea?
Yes.
There is no DBW for 4.11.

patch 4.11/1
Our deciphering department already left for the weekend.
You said "DBW 1.71" before.
Now you only say "patch 4.11/1".
Let me repeat: There is no DBW for 4.11.
And let me add: There is no patch "4.11/1".

Now... if you tried the Jugs Reloaded Pack on DBW 1.71 and on a separate game installation running Modact 4, and both are not working... then let me ask you two things:
  • Did you read the readme?
  • Where's the log?

Best regards - Mike

Awesome stuff! I love it, but unfortunately I found some problem too. Please correct me if I am wrong, but the Manifold Pressure Gauge in the cockpit seems to work wrong... The needle doesn't drop below 30 at all.... Strange, very strange, especially when to compare it with the same gauge in the cockpit of Corsair or Hellcat (planes with the same engine). Ok, I will have to check it in my P-47 manual (Pilot notes). More details soon...

Hi guys, I am back :)
First of all, I am sorry because it took more time than I expected. Ok, so let's start

1. Historical data:

2. My test (conditions: alt 1000m, prop 2500 RPM)

a) P-47D-40
Power (throttle) setting | Boost in Poncho's cockpit | Boost in Oleg's cockpit
              IDLE             |          29                       |        18
               30%            |          32                       |        21
               50%            |          36                       |        25
               70%            |          42                       |        32-33
               90%            |          50                       |        40
              FULL             |          60                       |        51

b) P-47D-10
Power (throttle) setting | Boost in Poncho's cockpit | Boost in Oleg's cockpit
              IDLE             |          29                       |        20
               30%            |          32                       |        25
               50%            |          36                       |        30
               70%            |          44                       |        35
               90%            |          50                       |        40
              FULL             |          52                       |        45

3. Summary: unfortunatelly everthing shows that the Manifold Pressure Gauge in Poncho's Cockpit works wrong :(  It is badly overmodeled and it doesn't reflect the real thing. That gauge in Oleg's cockpit (the ugly one) works much better, espacially at low throttle settings, but it still needs some correction at full throttle setting (in both D-40 and D-10). If you are still not convinced, just watch this movie taken from the cockpit of the real T-bolt and observe it on your own. The Mainifold Pressure Gauge is well visable and it is readable during different parts of a flight (take-off, climb, cruise, landing) or taxiing.

I hope that somebody will do some fix for Poncho's beautiful cockpit.... I suppose none of us would like to come back to fly in Oleg's ugly one.
IMHO, the quickest solution of the problem (but not the best one) would be allowing the guage to work like in the old cockpit.
