Last week some F-16 from the country Turkey shot down a MiG from Syria!  :o I don't know what type of MiG, it is news at BBC-news http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26706417

The Fighter Appears to be a SU-27

It for sure is from Su-27 family. And it is not shot-down - the smoke is most probably from smoke-generators - if it really was shot-down smoke, there would be flames - lot of flames, if you look how much of smoke there is. And cammo is Russian AF's ;)

Yes it was a Mig-23, Syria doesn't operate Su-27 but it has Mig-29

Funny... It must be a mistake. The image shows a SU-27, but other articles say MIG-23... hmm...

Media and military technique is like a 90 year old lady talking about gaming stuff.

Mmm... it looks great, Ranw! Can you give us some short spot with Viper?
Also - can you give us a list with all the weapons? I saw mk 82 bombs and AIM-9D, what's next? :P

Keep it up! :)

A little bit off, but I saw here and in the topic F-14 Tomcat that there are some F-5s. Will be that little bird a wip project as well? I really love the little Northrop fighters (the never went into serial production F-20 as well), especially F-5s with Swiss markings (plenty of good pictures at airliners-dot-net). :)

But whenever they talked about him, they always had a slight smile on their faces.. And that, perhaps, maybe your answer.

1: Who says that is the actual pilot? Could be propaganda at it's finest

2: violated airspace but barely and was back in own space once hit.
