yes, that will probably fix it.
to explain a bit more, the 'last.quick' file contains all information about the last (previous) mission you played.
so, if it contains information about a plane that has since been disabled/removed, it will crash, as that plane info is no longer in the game.

hello,
I have a question as you may read in my name im a il 2 modding newb :P
i wanna instal this and the instructions are very clear and i understand them BUT my question is:

I have this done and correct:
1)Clean Il2/1946 4:12.2m install required. - Tested and working.
2)Add SAS Modact V5.3 and AI Flyables.     - Tested and working.

my question is with this: 3)Add UP-SFS files from UP3 Packs (see the list below). do i need to install the whole UP3_RC4 mod or only the UP-SFS Files? and if only the UP-SFS Files where do i find those

Thanks for reading this and helping me

You only need the files listed and if you do not have them you can download them here

http://www.derrierloisirs.fr/il2/TFM-412/_19xSFS_files.rar

Good luck

Or here:
Download the three rar archives and un-rar them to the root file of the game.
1. http://ulozto.sk/xffghqU9/002-upmaps-rar
2. http://ulozto.sk/x2bGPfRj/002-upmaps2-rar
3. http://ulozto.sk/xn7f5TeW/002-upmaps3-rar

some mod included in TFM seems to make the thee default stock ki-43-I variants use a completely wrong cockpit. i crosschecked against vanilla and clean modact 5.3 il-2 installations and there you have the correct cockpits working fine.

i can't determine yet, which cockpit is falsely used, but these are stock planes which did not receive any modifications (except the modwheels and cowlings patches - working in modact 5.3 correctly). also worth of notice: the wrong cockpit has its controls move completely incorrect - stick, rudder pedals, throttle, all those movable parts rotate around the wrong axes when moved.

found the culprit!

the problem is caused by an outdated version of the F1M seaplane included with TFM, which (accidentally) messed with the whole stock ki-43-I cockpit. my way to fix it:

1. download https://www.mediafire.com/download/2ihd9om476u2d09/F1M-Pete+++May+12th.rar
2. download https://www.mediafire.com/download/l46duek1cgt5ge7/Pete+412+fix.rar
3. navigate to Il-2 folder #SAS folder
4. DELETE 02_Seaplane_F1Mv1.01 Folder
5. extract FIRST download into #SAS
6. extract second download into new #SAS/F1M-Pete Folder, OVERWRITING 2 files.

notes:

- first download is the most recent version of the F1M from the original thread
   Source: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,35901.0.html

-second download is a fix for 412 provided in the original thread for the F1M
   Source: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,35901.msg459633.html#msg459633

- the cockpit of the F1M-Pete still is wrong, the animated controls rotate around the wrong axes, but the ki-43 is back to normal

cheers
