Have a read of Monty's instructions again, as he does tell you to put them into the root directory.

Can you make a superpack that installs the whole thing?

Not sure if your question was referring to the "Hell in the Pacific" campaigns I mentioned but you can get them here (when the site is back up):

http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&t=15243

I mean a superpack that installs TFM-412.

no mate, that makes no sense - TFM is a super-pack already, there's no way on God's green earth that anyone is going to make it all over just so that it's easier to install.
please remember, this pack took several people many months to put together.
to expect them to sit and do it all over again just because some people can't exercise a little bit of patience when installing it, is not fair, and won't happen.
yes, it takes a little while to install, you have to simply accept that.
but, if you follow the instructions correctly, it's really straight-forward and easy.
this kind of modern attitude of wanting everything put on a silver platter, is simply not on.
so, no, there won't be a superpack to install the superpack.
it is what it is. please accept this, and simply be prepared to spend some time installing it.
if you feel the few hours of your time is too much, then consider the that the combined man-hours spent in compiling this, for you, for free, was more than a year, then you should realise that your question sounds really ungrateful.

I have three questions about the TFM directory structure in the #SAS directory after the sequential (i.e. 1 to 27) activation of the jsgmemods:

(1) Are there suppose to be "!0_SAS_Engine_Mod" and "!SAS_Engine_Mod" directories?

(2) Are there suppose to be "!0000_Statics_4.12.2 June 26 2014" and "!0000_Statics_4.12.2 March 2014" directories?

(3) Is there suppose to be a ...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\SAS_SFS directory? Note that in my TFM install, the two files that appear in the SAS_SFS directory (sasamt_jetwar_01.sfs and sasamt_jetwar_02.sfs) also appear in the ...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\SFS_AUTO directory. In my non-TFM, ModAct 5.3 version of the game, the two jetwar files are in the SFS_AUTO directory and there is no SAS_SFS directory.

Note that I placed the required UP sfs files in the ...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 directory.

In any case, when I attempt to start the game, I get the Fury takeoff screen and then the game crashes back to the IL-2 Selector.

Since it only has three files in it, I tried deactivating the !0_SAS_Engine_Mod directory, but that did not help. I've thought of copying those three files to the !SAS_Engine_Mod directory, but I think it would be better to get some comments from more knowledgeable people before I start making wild-guess changes.

Cheers,

Riptide

I remember that the Speech pack for JSGME does take a long time to activate and it was probably an hour or more for me as well. You should have simply been a little more patient and then Bob's your uncle!

Well I let it work now for aboutt two hours so i will keep it this way and wait :)

I really like the work put into this mod. Im a really newbie when it comes to flying sims but even i find those planes seriously good looking.

I was planning on buying battle of stalingrad or cliffs of dover, but they have much less planes than this game so i decided to pick this one.

In answer to your questions: (1) You should only have one folder "!SAS_Engine _Mod" activated. (2) and (3) these folders are ok in your main directory and are there from your vanilla install of Modact5.30.

One more thing to check. You mention you have all the UP files in your main directory, so assuming you started with a totally clean install of v4.12.2 + Modact5.30 _ AI Flyables v5.30, your splash screen should  show this text in the bottom left of your screen:

"v4.12.2m with SAS Modactivator 5.30 and SAS Flyable AI Aircrafts v5.30"

If it doesn't, you are screwed from the start.  Make sure you unzip the "red star" and place in your JSGME folder and activate. If that still doesn't work, you will have to roll back to the beginning.

Good luck
