Hi c, I check for Reno map but I haven't a map called Reno, neither in QMB nor in FMB... Could you give me the complete name or in which modpack is the map, please?

Hi guys, this afternoon I installed modpacks #5-6-7-8. Generally I test some planes of the pack or some other stuff as submarine or ship in FMB,  and a map at time. I found some troubles:
  • After installing modpack #6 RAF-02 I test the Seafire F. MkXVII, 1945, the plane doesn't works. On QMB I had the follow message: "Mission loading failed:null". Map works well, I tested it with other planes.
  • The map "Convoy" gave me the message: "data file corrupt"

I hope as above to correct these troubles and improve this wonderful sim.

Ciao!

c

marco;

i did a quick look and couldn't find which map pack it was loaded with.  This was a clean install so it must have come from TFM 412.   The reno folder is in the mapmods under the SAS folder, and the map in QMB is located all the way to the right close to the bottom when when you hit "load map".

Thanks to you though i did find a readme in the reno folder and i'll see if it has anything that my fix it.

c

found where the reno map was TFM412#23

Hello again, Marco.

In answer to your questions: 1. Re problems with FW190. Your problem lies in a conflict with either P A Gero's Fix Cowling and Engine mod or Wolfighters Luftwaffe Pilot mod.
You have to disable the affected plane in that mod (with a -). I recommend you read through at least page 1 to 40 or so of this thread (boring I know), but guys on here have picked up on these conflicts since day one of TFM412 and have posted an easy fix. They are quite numerous, so as you load each successive pack, you will come across these little niggles and you will find the answer in those pages.

2. Re  "data file corrupt" in QMB. I am assuming you are running QMB Pro in PAL Mission Pro Combo mod. Again, somewhere in this thread it reports that QMB Pro missions are made for DBW 1.71 and are not compatible with TFM412. I think there is a "Mission Pro Final for 412" mod in the appropriate section you can download which may correct your problem.

3. Re my load.ini. As I said all along, I couldn't understand your problems with the Crimea map. My load.ini comes untouched, straight out of map pack1. I have kept all of the unzipped packs and unpacked this again to check. My load.ini is as reported. Strange.

Anyways, good luck with the rest of TFM412!

I found no Bugs from it using DBW created QMBs (if with default Settings created) in my 4.12.2m TFM, he simply uses an older version of MissionPro, that is correct, but upward compatibillity is still ongoing, else you couldn't access IL-2 in general, since 80% of it's content is outdated.
From what I've seen a couple is imcompatible with the default QMB system, i.e. red Scramble mission first flight for Player is scripted blue, well that's not Pablos fault, but the Mission builder forgot to switch sides. Again such accidents are no compatibillity questions

The MissionProPal shipped in the 5.30 is outdated

I've tried myself, it doesn't cure all things, but its the most stable version I tried and the latest.
Our admins can't compile all the things that are new, from old times I knew we were told, to search ourselves through for latest files.

Convoy and a few others will get you these Messages, sometimes they can work in QMB sometimes not, simply look at the fact what we achieved with it compared to default Quickmissions.
My Mistel or Mass scramble Missions are prone to failure too, but not generally, you must switch Maps and back, try different settings, they work, but you must fiddle around, that's the deal.

Code: [Select]
A good hint for less buggy QMB, use the save/load option enabled for such custom Missions.
Before flying, always click save, you can alter if buggy later then and try another Map-Mission or setting.

My Mass-scramble, Malta Carrier Scramble or Mistel QMBs I have arranged and accessable this way by clicking on it. Then I have non-custom standards saved 8 or 16 Flights standard QMB Missions.
After playing custom ones, I switch back to a general setting, this way it is less buggy.
Have a nice layout, click save and save precious time arranging it, you can then try out Maps QMB prestted Missions easilly to find working ones. The Task of a bugless QMB in terms of Missions is a hard task, I know it as I had my hands on it.
Atm. I'm switching from old DBW to build up TFM-412 and get to know the ins&outs of 4.12.2m/Modact etc.
What I've seen in New-TFM as MissionPro QMB content grew me hairs, I'm on it arranging the content the way we delivered with DBW once, Theatre Prefixes and I will update as much as possible to 16 Flights standards. The DBW standard was according the latest gameversion and in proper arrangement, it was a quality task mission, not created specificly to match DBW, but latest QMB.
QMB Missions have to be created with default settings, regardless which gameversion or ModPack you use, if not, you can't load in DBW either, or one can load and thousands of Users not. I haven't heard of any from our Missions being incompatible, so far all make use of them. Sth. is working.
Best Regards

Bergkamp, Knochenlutscher, many thanks for your replies and explanations!! I will follow your suggestions for the next upgrades  :) :)

Just a couple of question about Mission pro combo by P.A.L.: I have a Mission Pro Combo 4.12.2m as shown below, but is it the right one? I downloaded it about on first months of this year...

The second question...maybe a stupid question...if I go to install a final revision of Mission Pro Combo 4.12.2m, as you linked to me, I must to disable the previous one, is it right?

Many thanks for all your helps!!

Ciao

Marco

LOL, NP.

I want to get this done before I go on another tangent for this sim:)))  that is very easy to do, especially after looking at the quickmission pro your playing around with.  looks very cool, hope you get it squared away.

Hi Marco,

Yes, disable and remove completely from JSGME, your previous install of mission pro combo and replace with latest version as per links.

I won't be on this board for the next 10 days (vacation), so don't think I'm ignoring you if you have any further questions!
