TORPEDO PROBLEM IDENTIFIED AND FIXED
Thanks to VPMedia for pointing out, correctly of course, that the Torpedo Problem, for some people, is an SFS File issue and nothing to do with TFM-412 or SAS-Modact.  The offending file is 'up_objects04.sfs' - Download this version and replace your faulty one if you have the Torp-issue.  This sfs file lives in your main IL2 directory and we are using resources from it with a TFM-412 install.  At some point it was altered and the Torpedo problem introduced.

Many thanks to the inexaustible enthusiam of RDDR for deliberately hosing his install and testing every file on your behalf!  That was a real needle in haystack Chris, good job.  Also huge thanks to VPMedia for showing us where to look in the first place!  Even so it was quite a hunt to eliminate this one SFS File. - If your torps are screwed, get this version.

#TFM412-37-Luftwaffe
Upgrading the He-111, Ju-88 and Ju-52 family to V412 standards - YT2 has a done a terrific job on the He-111's and Ju-88's, while StefanSG has upgraded the Ju-52 set from 410 to 412.  To add to our joy, DreamK has built the early Ju87A (SCW with big trousers).  The new 3Do's are very impressive, for all of these sets, as are the loadouts and weapons.

These aircraft are now ready for the incredible new templates, by eMeL, and skins by eMeL and RDDR.  Check out the shots here created by eMeL at Hangar-19, a true Il2 Diorama-meister! - http://hangar19.net.is.currently.offline/luftwaffe.html

He-111 Family By YT2
Ju-88 Family By YT2
Ju87A By DreamK

Ju-52 Family:
- 1C:Maddox Games and Daidalos Team
- Ranwers for generic Ju-52/3mg3e
- Mission_bug for new skin wheel spats of Ju-52/3mg3e
- SAS~crazyflak for exhaust rings on wing engines and textures
- Red_Fox90 for new engines and gears
- F22-Raptor-2006 for CF_D0 3d file, turret canopy removed, dynamo removed for JU-52/3 Transport
- Godzyla for new slot for JU-52/3 Transport
- Barnesy12 for new 3d for wheels
- Uufflakke for paratroopers and new skins
- StefanSG 412 Conversion

This set also includes 2 very minor 3d0 fixes from Wngflyer; applied to his amazing new vehicles from the previous package.

Hi Simon, many thanks for yet another collective masterpiece; sadly, I have to report a problem with the Ju87A1 and Ju87A(Spain) variation. In QMB, I get a CTD with "aircraft 30%". This happens only with thew Ju87A, I tested several maps with other planes, no problem with them. Here's the log,

Hey all,

I am thinking of going back to il-2 1946 with this mod but the last time i installed it over 10 times and everytime some maps or planes didnt work. I tried everything and eventually i left the game but now that i see al the extra's that has come up, i want to go back. The only thing that's holding me back is the fact that it doesnt work with me the first 10 times, and i'm sure my installation wont work the 11th time.

I really want to play this mod again (i did play it a couple of hours before the problems started) because it's so huge and i really like the planes in it. Is there any mega pack that downloads all the packages in one? Dont get me wrong, i really want to do some work, but after the last time im just a bit afraid that all the time i stuck into installing this, would be for nothing.

is there any way that makes installing this huge and awsome mod package a bit easier? and i mean besides jsgme.

thanks!

It could make sense if QMB is not set up for the different type of aircraft model?  Speaking as an FMB man these are fine for mission building as far as I have tried them.  My suggestion, until we get QMB 412 fully overhauled, is to write some missions in FMB.  Thanks for the heads up though, we will put in some more flight hours and see if we can't fine tune out the gremlins... ;D

Just as I settle down with this massive mod I find another pack! Jesus guys do you ever get any rest?! I adore your works.

I am however a QMB fan myself, should I wait until all the problems that Cgagan pointed out with the crashing and errors have been ironed out? I mean I have over 500+ aircraft to fight with so I can wait if necessary.

Keep TFM expanding guys, this mod...is the biggest Christmas wish come true!

No way ace, these are great aircraft!  Get in there and don't fall behind!  We will find or make a fix for QMB and get it sorted, no worries.

Good points - The install instructions are clear and it does work but TFM-412 can be a daunting set to install from scratch.  Have a little faith in yourself and take it in small steps.  It is a goal of mine to have my latest bug-free TFM-412 Install fully compressed someday, so a couple of SFS files will be dropped on top of an SAS Modact Install.  Meanwhile though, if you do each step in sequence, and don't mess with it, TFM-412 is a very comprehensive overhaul for 412.

I actually use JSGME - Because despite the install time it creates a backup to protect against install mistakes.  Dragging and dropping the whole thing directly is very quick - providing you do it in sequence and know your way around copy/paste or drag/drop.  Each JSGME Package contains the destination folders and file structure and modifies the #SAS folder ONLY.  Some other SFS files need to be present in your main directory but otherwise a copy of a Vanilla #SAS folder is the only backup you need if you want to try the quick drag/drop method.  ie; if extra SFS files end up in your Il2 directory they will not have any effect unless they are 'mounted' by the .RC file inside the STD folder.

The amount of new content is enormous and together we have all hunted down the issues on these threads.  The result has been some corrected packs, already uploaded, and some very minor fixes clearly listed at the end of the post, none of which will prevent a good launch or stop the sim working in any way.  It could not be safer or easier.

What is clear to me on this thread, and throughout the SAS1946 site, is the fact that a 'can-do' attitude is indicated in everyone who enjoys TFM-412 today.  If you find your energy flagging or are put off by the task I can really understand that too and would be happy to take you through those first steps if you want to chat with the TFM-412 Team on Skype for example.

Just dive in mate, its well worth the trip!  :)

Thanks! This is a wonderful collection!
But ...
Why is there no Polikarpov-pack? It is needed in Spain, and Russia.
Excuse my English!
