Sure, why not?
A beer for you, a coffee for me.
Can I suggest the best wine in the world?

I recall we were politely asked to lighten up on the tick-tock front.

Anyone remember this?

He waits… That’s what he does… And I’ll tell you what; tick followed tock followed tick followed tock followed tick’

Ahab says “I don’t care who you are, here’s to your dream”. The old sailors return to the bar.’

“Here’s to you, Ahab” and the phat drummer hit the beat with all his heart’

"Here’s to waiting…"

been there with the self imposed deadlines, both modding and in real world....always hated to miss both. Could never get my head around modding il2 though, i used to hand code a lot of stuff for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 1 years ago

Definitely not rushing anyone. I hope they understand people are just anxious and not frustrated. This is a huge task and am just thankful that a talented group of people are making this.

I am just showing support, excitement, and appreciation. I imagine it like the large group of soccer moms outside a storefront at 3am on Black Friday.

I dont think anyone wants it rushed or is belittling the time it takes.

I would hope, for my own part, that any impatience I have expressed is a reflection of my own weakness in handling my anticipation for a release that promises to be, in IL-2 terms, an historic one and that that same impatience will be recognised for what it is-a compliment to the great and generous people providing us with these great things.

More simply, who'd get excited over a heap of s#@te?!!

Well if you want to get technical.....a fly, a dung beetle, 1 of my dogs for some strange reason....  :P

But seriously I think it more of a excited compliment than anything else. I totally agree.

Load.ini error,
  La_chute map can't load maps/tex/water/pacificBlue.tga  I had a pacificBlueTL.tga in the proper folder so I copy/paste to make one named pacificBlue.tga but still received same error.
update:
  Ok, The La_chute map is working after my rename, I just had to exit the program and restart the sim (DOH!)
  The Reno map gave me the same problems with the whc_jungle.tga texture but i got that to work by backing up the file, copy/paste the whc_JungleTL file and renaming it as whc_jungle.tga

iirc with errors like this you need to use OpenGL graphics mode

Hello Yes

- OpenGL graphics mode

 [Render_OpenGL]
 TexQual = 3
 TexMipFilter = 3
 TexCompress = 2

HardwareShaders=1

water=4

Everyone,

I recommend lots of patience.  When CFM comes out, it will be in its own thread, and most likely this thread will be locked.  Monty had a pretty good reason to decide to delay CFM, and the decision came right before the original release of last Sunday/Monday.  I tested a few versions of CFM to include the version which was about to be released, and I can tell you as it is, it is very, very stable.  It brings new life to IL-2, but Monty is the boss, it is his project.  All I can say is that he had a really good reason.  The short story without going into details is that he and his team were already working on some better features which would better integrate a myriad of Mods and content into IL-2 which would be much more stable and polished as a release.  Also they are going through painstaking efforts to eliminate a lot of conflicts... try to integrate the work of 50 different people who created mods and content with 50 different approaches, it is not easy, but that is what they are doing.  50 is just an arbitrary number, look at the manual credits, CFM contains the work of a lot of people.

So be patient... it won't be in the next few days.  No need to wear out your F5 keys.  It will come out at the right time, and I believe this will be the best super pack add on for IL-2, ever.
