Hey guys, this is a great pack but I'm having some trouble with campaigns. Some of them don't show up at all, some have missions that have multiple takeoff waypoints so I have to fiddle with them, and I can't get DCG to work at all. Any ideas?

Hi Hoon

Agreed this is a fantastic pack.  Haven't tried any campaigns as yet and not tried DCG.  What campaigns have you got installed? Are they form the original TFM?

First of all, thanks for this TFM-412 pack this is really a very interesting pack since my favourite IL2 1946 Mod pack is DBW but DBW only works as version 4.10 and not as the latest 4.12.2 version. So TFM kinda addresses this issue and also seems to bring even more extra stuff compared with DBW.

However as others already pointed out I'm also having problems with some campaigns when playing with TFM-412. Namely I found problems when playing the following campaigns with TFM-412:

- USMC Midway DCG campaign: When playing this campaign with TFM-412 most planes starting on Midway airfield start on the water and thus none are properly aligned with the runway. I don't know if this problem also occurs when playing with other services (USN and IJN). Playing this campaign with other installs such as Stock, ModAct (without TFM) or DBW doesn't have this problem and plays properly.

- DCG Carrier Operations 1941-45 V1.3 for DBW by Lonestar67 - Midway USN Dive-Bomber Subcampaign: When playing this campaign with TFM-412 (curiously also in Midway) this campaign becomes unplayable because of big Stutters which constant occurs when playing missions from this campaign with TFM-412. Those Stutters seem to happen when playing missions where Japanese Carrier Group is present. When playing this campaign with DBW I don't have any problem and FPS are always high even with battles over big carriers groups with lots or aircraft in the air at the same time.

- DCG Carrier Operations 1941-45 V1.3 for DBW by Lonestar67 - Coral Sea USN Dive-Bomber Subcampaign: This is IMO a minor problem since it can be easily fixed by opening DCG and editing squadrons but nevertheless annoying or even comical. When playing this campaign with TFM-412 sometimes it spawns a squadron with F9 Panther Jet fighters. If instead of F9 Panthers it were F-14s I would say that I was in the middle a scene from The Final Countdown movie   ;D

I keep getting a 70% CTD when trying load pack # 10 (Ships) of the 4.12 new TFM. I'm running linux so I can't get the log to post properly using the insert code button, so I included a snap shot of what some of the ships are doing.

Mission Load Failure
« Reply #1350 on: August 18, 2014, 09:41:25 PM »

Hello community,

I installed the TFM-4.12 onto a clean 4.12+Modact 5.30 with Flyable AI - tested and working. Moved the #TFM 1 thru 27 Heavies Patch into jsgme and activated in order.  After that, I activated the non-essential TFMs, and certain #SAS mods to include Flyable AI.  I enter the game through the Selector and chose SAS Modact.  When I try to load a stock single mission or stock campaign, I get an error message -  Mission Loading Failed:Landscape "Kuban/load.ini" loading error.  A similar landscaper error comes up for every country.  What did I do wrong?? :(

Nothing as so far
One question did you put all the sfs files in the main dir. as stated on the first page of this pack. If so procede to next step.
1-open the all.ini file in the mapmod file
2-open mapmod folder and compare maps to the all ini file some match some do not and there are a few typo's errors. fix and repair
3- dl static checker and check for objects missing dl the obects packs from the m4t site and install.
4-dl maps from the map area here on the sas site and install
5-after installing the maps and objects needed start game and go to fmb to map area and open maps in question and the ones you have installed one by one of course if maps open in screen you did it right if not you screwed up or the directions were wrong some is . Example Chaco Chac0/load.ini is wrong the right way is Chaco Chaco/load.ini. So keep a open eye
P.S.
Have fun and enjoy if not all well

Do not install in the existing ashe folder just drop in the sas after installing all the ini entrys. If you install in the 02-asheship folder will crash class file clash

Hi kingsley,

I appreciate your response.

The required up/dbw/sfs files had been installed into the main root directory.

From m4t, I have downloaded the TFM_412_static.rar.  Is that the correct one?  The readme says there is a companion file (static images utility) that I could not locate.

Is this what you mean by checking for typos in the all.ini?  As a case in point, should not the Lviv/load.ini be Lvov/load ini?

Lvov_Summer                     Lviv/load.ini
Lvov_Winter                     Lviv/Winter_CKY_load.ini

I would think that by correctly following Monty's instructions, one need not go through multiple additional steps.  I tried to use the torrent link from page 1, but it was dead.  Is there any other way to insure my TFM downloads were intact as intended?

To check to make sure the compress files are all there use 7zip in 32 or 64 bit depending on your computer you can get it here or use filehippo.com to get it.
Made a mistake on the chaco map
it comes with the map as ag_Chaco ag_Chac0/load.ini it should be ag_Chaco ag_Chaco/load.ini.
yes you are right about the Lvov
When you dl 7zip and install to use it right click the compressed file and scroll down to test archive and click if all is there it will say no mistakes or something like that if you get a broken message and the file name and a few other messages in the little box below erase compressed file and re-dl.
A easy program to use and it is free
