Re: TFM-412 The Next Level ups sfs files???
« Reply #1512 on: November 05, 2014, 11:29:15 PM »

Sorry I have a brand new clean steam version of Il 2 1946 updated to 4.12.2 no mods so where can I get the ups files I am going to need?
On page 1 of this post just below the 1st map pack?
For the expanded map packs to function please ensure that you have these UP-SFS files in your Il2-Root Directory:

Quote
up_maps01.sfs
up_maps02.sfs
up_maps03.sfs
up_maps04.sfs
up_maps05.sfs
updbw_mapex_01.sfs
updbw_mapex_02.sfs
updbw_mapex_03.sfs
updbw_mapex_04.sfs
updbw_mapex_05.sfs
updbw_mapex_06.sfs
updbw_mapex_07.sfs
updbw_mapex_08.sfs
up_textures01.sfs
up_textures02.sfs
up_objects01.sfs
up_objects02.sfs
up_objects03.sfs
up_objects04.sfs

These are the SFS files from Ultrapack, usually installed into Il2 V4:101+, often prior to installing DBW.  You do not need anything else from a previous DBW or UP install, just the SFS files listed above.  If you are upgrading your install from DBW/UP3 to 4:12.2m these SFS files will already be present in your Il2-Root Directory.

Please and thank you.

Re: TFM-412 The Next Level my lancaster isnt working
« Reply #1518 on: November 07, 2014, 07:56:03 PM »

:( I think slipper a few pages back had the very same problem that I did.I am not as computer savy as he is I think it was something to do with textures.I can open the fmb I can place a lancaster as n see the red dot,but when i hit eneter and go into 3d I dont see it.
Also if I go to play mission I cant arm it and when mission launches I just have a funny looking horizon view and no external views available.
If someone can slowly explain it to me like Im a kidergarden kid I would appreciate it as in how to fix.Other then that up to pack 29 so far so good game keeps loading.Definitley not for the impatient tho.

Definitely not for the impatient. It took me three days to get all of the packs downloaded, unzipped and activated. It is well worth it though.

Ok so I have up to pack 33 loaded games starts yeah! But my lancaster bomber shows up in qmb and I can fly it.In FMB i can see it on the show when you select objects but when I put in down and make a little mission I cannot view it when i get close to map and go in 3d mode and when I save and hit fly I just get the terrain view no plane can't change view any suggetions?   Oh yeah I figured it out 2 and a half days of loading TFM melted my brain, I forgot to check player plane in fmb, I feel like a moron off to bed I go, I am happy and tired it works.
Great job on the packs to everyone involved now to make a dambusting mission  ;)

Hamm

I helped CY6 by carrying out a lot of beta testing with this under 4.101, unfortunately CY6 packed up modding before all problems were completely ironed out, i have a list somewhere of ongoing problems.

Combine this with the fact that C&C 3.031 was never designed or updated for 4.12, and it is no wonder there are problems.

As far as i know no one has really tried seriously to update it, i have a bit of java knowledge but no where near what is needed for this.

The fact this does not work correctly in 4.12 is one of the main reasons i have not completely converted to it. We really need a talented modder to take an interest in this or i suspect it will never work correctly.

regards

There are several issues in TFM 412 : some planes overheats fast , some bombers have no bombsight , most of the helos are unflyable due to bad flight model , the Phantom II is not uptodate...
