Has anyone else had an issue with the Command and Control Recon Mod crashing the program when it gets to 100%?

I have tested mine with Low recon and High recon and when it starts rolling and gets to 100% I get a total program crash.

No immediate solution presents itself.

Further testing: Made a fresh 4.12.2 install with SAS AI flyables only and C & C. Still get the crash at 100%.

I presume this mod is not quite compatible with 4.12.2?

Has anyone else got it to work here?

Most of C&C is included in TFM-412 so there is no need to install in seperately.  The RECON function does not work in 412 though.  Not the 'fault' of TFM-412, RECON C&C doesn't work in ANY 412 install.  I would love to see it updated though, guess I know now why CY6 isn't answering my pms...

There are several issues in TFM 412 : some planes overheats fast , some bombers have no bombsight , most of the helos are unflyable due to bad flight model , the Phantom II is not uptodate...
Vague, non-specific, not particularly positive or helpful.  Not all that you think you have seen in 410 is fully functioning yet in 412.  Some mods are still being upgraded.  Adding bombsights to all the bombers is part of that process and the Phantom II was very recently updated too.

Overall though, 412 beats the hell out of 410 and its well worth the effort to add extra content.

I do take issue with the helos, the Mil-24, for example, is an absolutely superb Helo FM especially in 412.  Helo flight models are a 'black art' compromise in a fixed wing sim, but the ones featured in TFM-412 are excellent IMHO.  I read my pm's too and many helpful modders keep me well up-to-date.  TFM-412 development is usually around 5 sets ahead of the releases and there is a lot of input from enthusiasts on these threads.

If you have better material to try or additional links or any real solutions to offer we are always interested.  Otherwise?  I'm not interested in reading tea-leaves...

Okay .
So , the Mi-24 overheats .
But it can be fixed by replacing the FM file with this one :

...Meanwhile, here are the latest additions to TFM-412

TFM-412-34 MAP-PACK-5
Time for another comprehensive addon for the Maps of TFM-412:  Following helpful BDA from our pilots and a lot of hard FMB testing data, this latest set adds some wonderful work, by more master map-makers, to TFM-412.  Thanks to: SPIT973, Thierry_B and UP~Boomer.

La Chute - GB to Berlin By SPIT973
CAN Channel Airfields By Thierry_B
Reno By UP~Boomer

La Chute

SPIT973's superb EAW style large European map, from GB to Berlin, is a beautifully realised piece of work.  This version is fully working in TFM-412, thanks to the comprehensive catalogue of objects and a brand new static.ini.

CAN Channel Airfields

Thierry_B's airfield work on the old 'CAN Channel' map brilliantly restores and improves on the original map.  The airfields are fully realised again.  Try out your BoB missions and see what they look like now!  This superb rework is very much appreciated by those who missed the full detail of the original version from way back.

Reno Nevada
V2 of UP~Boomer's superb map is a great place to fly your racing classics.  Trialed in earlier sets, Version 2 should work for everybody now.

Stock Tanks and Vehicles Upgraded By Wingflyr
Thanks to Wingflyr for helping me add more of his amazing FMB objects: Namely - all the stock tanks and vehicles included in Il2 fully replaced with newer 3D models!  All of them feature new crew characters and textures.

This has to be one of the most comprehensive upgrades of Il2 Objects across the board, on top of the additional very detailed vehicles Wingflyr has already brought to TFM-412.

NOTAMS:
This is a very big package to copy over so be patient and don't even think about the time Wingflyr has spent creating these fantastic vehicles.  JSGME will take at least 30 minutes in some cases, depending on your PC.  It is well worth the effort though, these vehicles are superb.

Bloody brilliant work old friend and thank you for helping me integrate them into TFM-412.

Hi Hawker, the new maps and Wingflyr's vehicles are incredible.  Had me playing in FMB for hours.  So much in the 412 toybox now.  :)

Monty:

Reno works great now with the latest updates.  Thanks!!

I still would like to know how to get the stock "perfect" water textures back.  One of the TFM mods changed it, and they look great from the air, but when I get down to about carrier level the "reflective" effect just doesn't look good on my CPU.

thanks

Do not know for you, but I got a corrupted file in the pack no 36 when I unzip it with WinRAR. Related to the T-34 (summer), apparently.  Do you also have this problem ?

By the way... I try to download the pack again, just in case.

Had a couple of clean downloads confirmed elsewhere Gaston, I think the uploads are OK.  Sorry about the large size of No.36, it was a big project! :)
