Yeah I looked into the status of my CPU (Central Processing Unit) and trust me, it goes off the board when IL2 is running, a solid green lightsaber is all that describes it!  :P

Also my memory is in doubt too, IL2 has trebled in size since I added TFM, not that I mind that, but I have a 297GB hard drive and IL2 alone takes up 51.7GB! Yes IL2 is now THAT BIG! I mean even when I used that phoney sim FSX it didn't take up half that!  :-X

But at least you are getting the benefit of having a new PC  :-\

Back to the subject. I think its down to RAM, Processor and the type of Direct X you are using, its originally what buggered up mine when I had ultrapack.

I think you just identified your performance problem, you are apparently using DirectX rather than openGL.  I have found that my system (which includes an i7 CPU OCed to 4.4Ghz) is noticeably slower using DirectX when compared with using openGL.   If you are using DirectX try shifting to openGL and see if it helps ...

Well I was using Windows XP with a 150GB hard drive at the time, back in the glorious days of 2009.  :-\

I decided to quit while I was ahead then and waited till I had some money to produce an Uber PC, seems as if it paid off  ;D Now I am running IL2-1946 V4.12.2 with Modactivator 5.3, SAS Mods, AI Flyables Pack and TFM-412.

I have been having major problems installing TFM412-11_AIR_EXTRA. There have been no problems with the previous mods and I have checked after each installation to make sure that the program is working.
However, after installing 412-11, the program stops loading at 20%.
I had the same problem previously and started once more with a clean installation and even downloaded the mods again in case the previous ones had been corrupted. I changed the program to extract the files in case that was the problem and most recently have been using 7zip.
Should I forget about TFM412-11 and go ahead to 12?
On another subject, the #SAS_Flyable AI Aircraft is still in my "available mods" section of JSGME - should it be moved to "activated" or should I wait til all the TFM mods have been activated?

yes.

I do not know each and every pack but sometimes it could be possible
that some mods are "fragmented" so to say and needs the next pack
to have the game running.

when I installed the whole pack I did it in one long session..
and didn't interrupt and try for only one time.
When having installed all packs I tried .. and it worked.  ;)

Its important to install the packs in the right order, following the numbers.
See the instructions in first post.
And you should be sure that you have no corrupted downloads.
Otherwise you get problems...  :-X

Trouble is Gerax I have had a few mod problems, 2 of them both Sea Gladiators, Pack 16 f***'s up the .ini files for the maps, I bypassed 16 and I was able to do it. I guess you can skip ''Some'' packs but not all that have aircraft or any new vehicles.

Plus the Nowotny Me-262 is gone as well...Pack 22 fails on me. So the first 15 are fine, its the rest that are plagued with errors and corrupt files.

Right Hamm

I have reversed it back to number 15, I can't help the Gladiators from pack 4 because the files ARE corrupt...and no fix at all.

And are you sure that Pack 16 isn't pants? Because it does activate, but I can't fly on QMB. And I followed all rules on installing TFM. And still the .ini files on all the maps are screwed up because of that install. I skipped the pack and installed 17, worked perfectly fine!

Here is the thing Hamm, I load up the Gladiator Mk.II, then I load up the Sea Gladiator...and guess what...THEY BOTH APPEAR!

It's probably a glitch!  :-\

It´s strange. I tryed it three times and in all cases with the same result. Gladiator Mk.I and Gladiator Mk.II are OK, but when I click on Sea Gladiator the game shuts down.

I just ran a test on my install and yes I get the same thing when loading the Sea Gladiator.  I'm not a modder but I am obsessive with this TFM thing, so I 'll check it out and get back to you if I can find the problem.

I have a little problem.

Is there a way to fix the torpedo angles? I mean I tested a TBD-1 squadron on a Midway mission, and their torpedoes are boggled more nose-down than they originally look on a TBD.
