Hi All,

This is probably a nOOb question, but I have been installing TFM-412 (new install) and am trying to add some off the new aircraft to the existing DGen campaigns. Now I have done this before with 4.12.2 + HSFX7 without any problems. The aircraft I have tried is the Ki-98-III to Japan 1945 campaign. The AllplaneDB name I have used is KI_98_3 so it turns up in the drop down list but when I try to run I get a beep, and this is the DGen error message:

= DGen 4.0.0.9 (01/05/05) =
seed: 1452891890
DGen initialization. Side: ja, Rank: 6
MaxBomberSkill=3
Distance=50 km
Length=VeryLong
AI=Normal
Missions=Normal
AirIntensity=Medium
GroundIntensity=Medium
SlowFire=5.0
PromotionRate=1.000000
Career ID: JaA

Japan1
ReadDB sorties:1
TestWing(f,s): IJA_F_C_10z 0 00
Blue skill set: 2 18 15
Red skill set: 5 45 5
Inherits operations from DGen\opsJapan.dat
MissionDistance set, testing DGen\Japan1Red0.mis
Can't open!
MissionDistance set, testing DGen\Japan1Blue0.mis
Can't open!
Dangerous areas
Red:0 Blue:0
2
DGen: can't pickup starting base

Can anyone advise please? Also does any one have a list of the DGen names for the AllPlanesDB.dat file to save me looking for them when I fix this problem?

Thanks very much all.

Hello,
new vehicles are excellent, but we have some troubles.
First of all, Opel Kadetts and GAZ 67 have no wheels.
Then, some trucks (ex. Opel Blitz 36 and firetruck) are not visible at some angles (You can see only shadow).
And some problems with winter versions of Blitz trucks.

These are "buildings" in the static ini/Objects menu, nobody uses them.
The vehicles work fine.

Try to increase the mission distance in conf.ini Dgen section, imho 50km is too short  for PTO.

Thank You vpmedia, I see.
But some map builders use them on many maps (i.e. on Svalbard map You can see Opel Blitz in winter camo).
So - is there any simple method to have them displayed correctly? (I suppose it is possible, if vehicles work fine).

Greetings,

I got Japan1Red.mis in my Dgen folder (stock, DGen 4.0.6.11 (25/09/06) with EnjoyR patch 5.2 ) but no Japan1Red0.mis. Try to create one from Japan1Red.mis, same for the blue side.

To hardcode vehicles into a map is a bad idea. Unlocked fmb can reverse it. :)
I removed these "vehicles" from my static ini. The same problem occured in DBW-1916 with a ww1 truck so the problem is not related to TFM-412 or Wflyers vehicles. You could relink the 3d to another object via static.ini. Or maybe you could try to extract the original stock files from the sfs and put it into a new folder and change static.ini entries to this new folder name.

Hi VPMedia,

Sorry to keep bothering you with this, that fixed the xxx.mis problem but it can't assign a base:

= DGen 4.0.0.9 (01/05/05) =
seed: 1472818390
DGen initialization. Side: ja, Rank: 6
MaxBomberSkill=3
Distance=150 km
Length=VeryLong
AI=Normal
Missions=Normal
AirIntensity=Medium
GroundIntensity=Medium
SlowFire=5.0
PromotionRate=1.000000

ReadDB sorties:1
TestWing(f,s): IJA_F_C_10z 0 00
Blue skill set: 2 18 15
Red skill set: 5 45 5
Inherits operations from DGen\opsJapan.dat
MissionDistance set, testing DGen\Japan1Red0.mis
Success!
MissionDistance set, testing DGen\Japan1Blue0.mis
Success!
Dangerous areas
Red:0 Blue:0
2
DGen: can't pickup starting base

Could the fact that so far, I have only installed up to TFM412-22 have anything to do with it?

I really appreciate your help

I'm gonna need to test this in my own install. I got 4.12 modact but its the same as TFM-412 from the dgen point of view. I'm pretty sure that TFM-412 does not influence the working of the dgen campaigns.

What you can try is to update your dgen exe to the latest: http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/download.php?view.525

There's also a possible solution I've found here:

Hi Redshirt,

I usually play HSFX7 but it is even in stock Il-2 1946. If you look in the DGen folder and find the files for each campaign with the name like "planesDeB" (this is the one for the He 111 campaigns) open it and you'll get this:

Code: [Select]
[Lvov41H]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[BarbarossaH]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[TyphoonH]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Crimea42]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Kuban42]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Stalingrad]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Kuban43]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Kursk]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Crimea44]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Bagration]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Lvov44]
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

[Berlin]
ME_262A2A
HE_111H2
HE_111H6

Then using the correct name (eg "HE_177_A3" (He 177A-3/5)) under, say the [Berlin] section, then save, next time you start a career for the He 111, when you look on the aircraft drop down menu for Berlin, there it will be.

I have only  gotten it to work on Stock and HSFX7 (having a lot of trouble with TFM412), so I'll include the AllplaneDB.dat I have for HSFX7 which will give you a lot of the game names (sorry can't attach, will send it to your inbox). However anything that isn't there you usually can work it out, otherwise inbox me and I'll see if I can.

Has any one got a list of AllplanesDB for TFM412?

Is there any campaigns people have made for it?

Hope that helps.
