Monty

Brother - thank you very much for your work and passion for IL-2. May I ask for clarification regarding CFM? I have been reading through the CFM Users Manual and in the section regarding Ultrapack SFS files prior to install (page 8), the Ultrapack SFS files are followed by:

Comprehensive 3D Fixes:
- 3Dfix Cowlings & Prop by PA_Jeronimo
- 3Dfix 3D Engines by Wolfighters & PA_Jeronimo
- 3Dfix wheels by Barnsey12 & PA_Jeronimo
- 3Dfix LOD Engines by Birdman
- 3Dfix P-40E 3do by ROCK
- 3Dfix Wolfighter's Pilots
- 3Dfix All Default Vehicles by Wingflyr
- 3Dfix Many new FMB Objects by Wingflyr
- 3Dfix Many new FMB Objects by Tomoose

VP Media's Map Upgrades
North Korea v1.41 by CY6
Midway Late by 242Cat & Bombsaway
MaxTheHitman's retextures/new objects for FMB

Since it follows the Ultrapack SFS and I do not see anything that may suggest that these have a separate requirement from the SFS files - I'm reading this to mean that these are also required to be installed prior to installing CFM.

No problem with the Ultrapack SFS files, just want to ensure that I have the above files installed before I install CFM if that is required.

thank you

No worries - Just those original UP-SFS files listed and resident in the Il2 Root Directory, then you are good to go.  I will also upload those SFS packages seperately following the CFM Release in about a week from now.  All that other wonderful stuff is already in there!  ;D

will ammend Users Manual to clarify (got some more stuff to put in there anyway)

Hi Monty,
Is it possible that CFM can have the same displayed info on screen as IL2 1946 New TFM,
ie: SPD in MPH as well as Km/h
     ALT in FT and M.
Being of the older generation I still find it hard to think and convert Km into MPH  and Meters into feet, when trying to fly.
It might be a good mod for us Old uns.
Cheers Stan

Oh yes, a CFM standard.  One of my favourite mods too, implemented through the JSGME Option - P.A.L.S. HUD Config.  Tapping the speedbar display (Key-Z for me) changes the units as required.  This is also part of P.A.L.S. Bombsight Mod, which provides the correct angle of sight once the Bombsight Altitude and Airspeed are entered to match the speedbar display.  Indispensible! 8)

I think the manual should have been about what's not in CFM-that way you could have made it much shorter.

I haven't posted much recently as I've been very busy along with the rest of the guys
shaking down the CFM. Things are going quite well.I do believe we are almost there ;)
Last night we all took a bit of a break and skipped over to the Paladies Constellation for an hour or so.
These pics were taken by Simons buddy Gus as we arrived back home.
Cheers All,
Christopher
